Would be cool to see a young bond before coming 007. The end of movie 1 could be him becoming 007, then the subsequent movies are the start of his career
That would be a fresh take that could still be true to source material
I like this.
Start off as a young bloke in the military that gets recruited into the spy business.
I can only think of Tom Holland, but he's kinda small and is already 30.
What young British kid is out there to play Bond?

Ghostbusters 2016 would have killed multiple careers in most scenarios.

For the sake of my entertainment from the meltdown on this board, I hope it’s either Laverne Cox, Lena Dunham, or John Boyega.

Female Bond producer? FFS...
Uh, Barbara Broccoli produced Bond movies from 1995 until 2025.

And Barbara Broccoli is an idiot

Yeah. She only produces chick movies like the Tom Hardy Venoms and Project Hail Mary, in addition to all the current Spider-Man movies that everyone loves.
No one can figure out why Amazon would want a highly qualified professional with only 2 financial misfires in her career to help get a massive project off the ground.

Craig was beta?
Yeah, Craig's Bond was a whiny bitch. My least favorite of the Bond actors. Casino Royale was very good, though.

"Having worked with Barbara Broccoli at the studio, I mean, Daniel Craig is a hard act to follow. And it's got to be something really different that is stirring and exciting and different."
If it's these comments above, I don't think there's anything wrong with what she's saying. I think people will blow this out of proportion as usual
The names Bond,……Trans Bond.

I don't mind a female Bond, but if they go woke I will stick to rewatching the real Bond movies.

Great
Now all I can hear is Sean Connery's voice saying
"The pronouns are They. They, Them"

The "problem" is that a producer and director would be pilloried for making a true version of Fleming's Bond.

Western

Cold
Murderous
Hard drinking
Womanizing
Successful
Not saying a sizeable (and profitable) audience isn't there for movies portraying that character - as long as the stories and acting are good - but for the entertainment media/critics and Hollywood fart sniffers, it would be suicide.

And which one of these movies had a story or lead that was remotely close to James Bond?
This would be a valid question if I wasn't responding to a post talking about the 2016 Ghostbusters movie.

And Into the Spider-verse, all the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies, and Project Hail Mary.
She has more hits than misses.
Maybe I'm in the minority but those Spider-Man flicks have pretty much all been more entertaining than they have been good, and the Holland ones have been getting worse with every entry.
For clarity I'll define what I mean when I personally say "good" vs "entertaining"..... a good movie is one that I will go out of my way to recommend to people and will probably rewatch at least occasionally, an entertaining but not necessarily good movie is one that is a decent way to spend a couple of hours, but I probably won't go out of my way to rewatch it or recommend it to anyone.
Project Hail Mary was legitimately a good movie but how much of that was the source material and Ryan Gosling vs her influence?
