As Fred Willard use to say, with O'Hara it's not only what she does with her lines, it's what she does while you're giving your lines and she's on-screen.

He said he'd think that he'd just killed a take, then when he saw it on film he realized that her reactions during his performance were the real gold in the scene.

Catherine O'Hara's excellence in basically making up a new accent/dialect/language for this show can not be overstated. Genuinely amazing.

And Annie Murphy's mannerisms are almost equally amazing.

Chris Elliot is still a completely unlikable weirdo creep.

Everybody on the show nails their role.

I started watching towards the end of their run, watched multiple seasons within a month or two. It was really well done, some of those lines from Moira were classic - perfect combination of writing along with her delivery.

The wife watched a bunch,

I caught some episodes. Found it incredibly mediocre outside of Catherine O’Hara who is of course awesome.

She said she liked it, but I never heard her laugh.

They are all great but Catherine O'Hara is the true star of the show.

I love it when Alexis goes off on a rant about dating or hooking up with a famous or rich person in her past & the people in the town just look at her funny but never take it any further. I would be asking her questions.

MY wife and I watched the first 3 episodes today. We LOVED it! I thought it was hilarious, and the story is intriguing.

Regardless of what you think of the show, it has a strong meme game.

Catherine O'Hara is a comedy god. I'm a longtime Eugene Levy fan, but this is O'Hara's shining moment. Levy is a great straight man, particularly for her. They work so well together, going back to all of the Christopher Guest films.

I've watched 3 episodes so far and not really cracked a smile. I detest Catherine O'Hara- have since Beetlejuice and Home Alone. if she's really the start of the show, I think I'll give it up now and move on to something else.

K, cool.

You can definitely get to know a show and judge it after 3 22 minute episodes.

Honestly for this board that’s asking a lot sadly

There’s always a dude in here for every show that’s like “watched 10 minutes of it and turned it off. Don’t get the hype about this dumb show about a chemistry teacher.”

I just watched the episode where Johnny and Moira babysit for Jocelyn, and Moira out of the blue said bebe instead of baby. I could not stop laughing and every time she said it I just laughed harder. Small goofy things like that, is the reason why I love this show.

Yeah, with so much content out there, if a show can’t interest me after watching two full episodes then I’m moving on - especially if it’s a sitcom.
there are some really really good shows that go for 5-10 seasons that took a hand full of episodes to get there footing and make strides.

Off the top of my head, Schitt's creek (according to some)
New Girl, Cougar Town.

You are wearing a wedding dress to my wedding...

This is not a wedding dress it is a white floor length gown. It is very different.

Did it come with a veil?

Ahhh no it came with a headdress.
