No

I really enjoyed it. Last season there was a noticeable drop in quality so they made right decision to end it.

It's easily one of my favorite shows of the last 10 years.

I almost bailed after the first few episodes. So glad I didn't. Once you learn the characters and their idiosyncrasies it really starts to shine.

Life is short; I'm not watching a full season of a TV show so I can prove to message board ****s that I finally "got it" when it got interesting in season 2 or 3. Do you make that kind of commitment for all 7,886 new series available across all the streaming services?
Show with great reviews: Half of a season to one full season
Show that "gets great in Season 4": Sample episodes in Season 4 to see if I want to invest in the previous seasons
As was said previously, plenty of great series started off with crappy early episodes (The Office U.S., That 70's Show, Family Guy).

To each their own, but I didn't find it to be all that great. Watched two seasons hoping it would get better...it didn't. Which is sad because I really like the individual pieces. Eugene Levy is generally great in everything he does. Catherine O'Hara is really good. Together they have been really good (most notably, Best in Show). Levy's son had some good moments. But all together the show is just annoying

I’m gonna try again but I’ve watched it twice through the first three episodes and didn’t laugh once.
The comedy was so ridiculously over-the-top it’s just not my cup of tea

I’m going to give it another shot but can someone just tell me if Catherine O’Hara’s character it’s any better or less annoying? All she ever does is yell the first couple episodes and it’s really annoying

No, that's her character the whole show. I thought she was brilliant in it, but can see how it could be annoying.

I'm on season 2, and she's still annoying af. The show is pretty dumb.

That never changes. She's my least favorite major character, but... she does a great job of playing that character.

I'm puzzled by all the acclaim for Schitt's Creek, too. Isn't this the same show that used to follow Impact Wrestling on Spike TV seemingly in another lifetime? To think it's made it's way off a defunct network and is garnering Emmy wins seems a bit off. It couldn't have sounded any more low rent when the rasslin' announcers were pimping it on Spike. Is this even the same show?

These threads, and "does it get any better" threads are so dumb. How smooth brained do you have to be to not be able to determine your own personal interest in something?

yes. the first season is the weakest of the bunch. the rest of it is great.

Don't think so.
It started in Canada and then was on Pop TV in the states.

It's a message board. If you're a working adult (or have a family) chances are you're limited in the content you can view. Nothing wrong with asking others if it gets better. And if you've been around here enough, you know who is probably reliable (in terms of similar interest) to get that advice from.

I loved Schitt's Creek. Great show.

Thanks for the clarification. It is the show I was thinking of, I just had the wrong network.
