Lion King I’d also say had tGOAT soundtrack. “The circle of life” is incredible. “Hakuna matata” is fun and sticks with you. “Rafikis song” “can you feel the love tonight” “I just can’t wait to be king” “be prepared” all fantastic off the top of my head

Taking my kids to Disney for the first time in Nov made all these movies that much better

I always liked little mermaid the most out of the renaissance films

I just watched this for the first time yesterday. It is visually beautiful and I thought the story was compelling.
However, and I realize this is an unpopular opinion, I simply do not care for the music of Manuel Lin Miranda. I understand that many think it is wonderful, but to me it always sounds like the lyrics and music are forced together.
"You're Welcome" was the best of the bunch and "Shiny" would have been better if they could have actually had Bowie do it as it seems to have been intended.

I put Moana in the category of “good, not great”. My top ten would include (in no particular order):
Zootopia
Tangled
Toy Story 3
Up!
Sleeping Beauty
The Little Mermaid
Aladdin
Emperor’s New Groove
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
The Lion King
I wouldn’t rank Moana better than Beauty & the Beast, the Jungle Book, Big Hero 6, The Incredibles, the Princess & the Frog, or Cinderella either.
However, it’s definitely better than Cars. I’d put it around the same as Monsters, Inc. & Brave.
