It supposedly uses Emily Wilson’s (not Williams) translation of the Odyssey as its primary source material.

No. “She” had the work done. Now, he’s a he.

So if this trankenstein elected to cut her arm off to identify as disabled, would you still cater to her delusions? Or encourage her to seek professional help?

Reinforcing the false beliefs of someone with dissociative identity disorder has always been frowned upon by the medical community because it significantly increases distress and confusion over time... that's why so many trannies are bat shite crazy and have a disproportionately high suicide rate.

No, that’s because of people like you. But I’m sure you’re proud of that.

That's incoherent response.

Again, how is she a 'he'?

Be specific.

. Yes, because wouldn't she/he be disabled with one arm? Crazy and disabled, but definitely disabled.

It is 100% a delusion, and it is where your viewpoint fails.

It is the ONLY situation in all of psychiatry where we are expected to affirm the delusion.

You tell me why I am supposed to affirm this delusion, but I am not supposed to affirm the delusions of the individual who believes he is God or the delusions of the paranoid schizophrenic who says he sees and speaks to demons no one else can see?

What makes one different than the other?

I'm not coping here. You said something stupid and false. Her translation isn't a new version of Homer's Odyssey. It's just a translation.

Wrong, she changes Odysseus fundamentally and manipulates her “translation” into anti patriarchy and pro feminist.

She's pretty open about it in one of her recorded lectures on the subject.

Her translation suffers because she tried to fit ancient poetic style into a more modern poetic structure, but I don't think it's true that she fundamentally changed the character. It's not nearly as bad as that feminist retelling of Beowulf some activist lunatic did a few years back.

I mean she gave a lecture at Dadrtmouth explaining that she changed language to be more pro-female and eliminate language that could "dehumanize" women, etc.

I'm sure there are deep dives out there but she did not just change the poetic style
