That was quick, you moved from the “it isn’t happening” talking point to “it’s a good thing” in one post lol
I mean I live in the US in 2026. I have the actual text that he’s adapting on my Kindle and I’ve read it several times since middle school. I rewatched Troy the other day. I’m not Greek.
It’s not happening to me.

Because the way you responded, dipshit.
Because I said if your whole arse culture is threatened by Nolan’s casting it must be pretty soft? Truth hurts I guess.

You're too old to have been in middle school in 2017.

Oh, I’m sorry, you’re still trying to maintain this charade? Silly goose

I’m speaking of earlier adaptations which I believe is truer to the original mythology.
Which again, just further proves point. I don’t get my literature and mythology from Nolan exclusively. So it’s just another movie.

Then you don't have the one he's adapting.

He’s still adapting The Odyssey. If it’s from a newer, “modern” adaptation then that’s not Mad’s “culture” then is it?
You can’t have it both ways.

You’re playing dumb while being dumb. Another playbook tactic. You’re practically a bot

Y’all are just easy to melt over the dumbest things.
Posted on 5/19/26 at 5:01 pm to BluegrassBelle
There’s no melt and your false accusation is just more evidence of your dishonesty. Btw you’ve already conceded my point without knowing so your argument is dead. The changed narrative and themes in the movie come from an ideological manipulation in a modern retelling of the story (Wilson’s book) so like I said, it is an active agenda to erase the story which is a large part of history in the place that is considered the cradle of western culture.

You’ve been reduced to goading attempts.

Are you only limited to seeing this movie? Are you no longer able to access previous adaptations?
I mean, I have English ancestors. Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, and Charles Dickens are all big components of English culture. Their material has been adapted in thousands of ways, with all kinds of casting and changes to the source material. Somehow it hasn't ruined English culture.

That’s not an argument but the desperation is sweet

You literally don’t have the capability to retort if someone disagrees with you. You just scream insults.
Posted on 5/19/26 at 5:19 pm to BluegrassBelle
That’s hypocritical since your last retort was an emoji but I’ll humor you. I’ve read it so it makes no impression on me but the movie is meant for impressionable minds which is illustrated in Nolan’s comments. Comments that also contain tons of hypocrisy. Now you answer a question for once, why do this?

Again dishonesty used to support a failing argument. Right on script and of course can’t answer the question.

I've made multiple posts that have explained my stance. Without emojis. If you can't keep up, that's on you.

Why does Nolan make the movies he does? I don't know, you'd have to ask him.
I do know that I have complete control over whether I want to consume the content. If people aren't happy with it, then you simply just don't spend your money to watch it.

So no answer except stage 3 handbook “why do you care”
About what I expected
About what I expected

What answer did you expect when asking someone who isn't making the movie why the movie is being made the way it is?
You make no fricking sense.
