Just watched.
Most fun I've had at the movies since the original Jurassic Park in 1993.
That ending, though...

So I just did a rewatch of iron man and came up with a crazy theory. When stark first test out his new suit and tries to beat the sr81 and freezes, Jarvis says they should make it suitable for space travel. Did marvel have this planned out back then, or was it a throw away line

Throw away line. The Nick Fury Avengers scene was an afterthought. I doubt that they planned past Downey’s original three picture deal.

I think that was more about foreshadowing for the fight he had with Obidiah Stane.

shite so much went wrong during that scene, but I though strange was kind of busy holding back his left arm.
Drax and Nebula (2 people whose biggest dream is to kill Thanos) were doing nothing during the glove struggle. That is the only thing that got me. Why would neither of them try to kill Thanos while he is incapacitated. Seemed to be more in character for one of them to frick it up than Quill.
Oh well, just Would've been better if Thanos was shown incapacitating them somehow before that.

One quibble I have (and a question for the board) with IW is in regard to Captain America. Is it so the foreign box office isn't affected but why is his uniform completely devoid of red/white/blue? And does anyone else notice that he is almost never referred to as Captain America, just "Cap".

For a short while in the comics Rogers dropped his Captain America persona and became Nomad. The all black in IW was a reference to that.
quote:
The original Nomad is an alternate identity that Steve Rogers adopts after he abandons the Captain America costume and title.
In Captain America #180 (December 1974) Rogers becomes disillusioned with the United States government, when he discovers that a high ranking government official (heavily hinted to be the then President of the United States Richard Nixon) is the leader of the terrorist organization known as the Secret Empire.
Rogers then decides to abandon his Captain America identity, feeling that he cannot continue to serve America after this latest discovery has shattered his faith in the nation's status. However, a confrontation with Hawkeye (disguised as the Golden Archer) forces Rogers to realize that he cannot abandon a life of heroism, and he subsequently takes on the name "Nomad" (as it means "man without a country") adopting a new dark blue and yellow uniform with no patriotic markings on it at all.
This identity is short-lived, with Rogers maintaining it for a mere four issues of the comic to varying degrees of success; he even trips over his own cape at one point. At the conclusion of Captain America #184 (April 1975) Rogers returns to the role of Captain America when he realizes that he could champion America's ideals without blindly supporting its government.

I remember he left the shield. And there has been no response to the Nomad storyline that I can remember. Has there even been a throwaway line like, "Cap's been tough to reach. He's a nomad now." by one of the other characters?

I was just saying that with RDJ's contract coming to an end, that they could really let him go out dead or alive at this point. If Stark survives, he retires. I honestly don't mind which way they go as far as one of the OG leaders biting it, as long as they nail the scene and make it a "good" death.
Wasn't aware of the foreshadowing of the kid and his death. I'll check into it
