In what format are you seeing The Odyssey?

It was shot entirely on imax cameras for 70mm Imax screens meaning any other format will be somewhat cropped. Problem is there is like 10 of those in the whole country and none close to Louisiana. So we have a few different options here.
Standard imax-will give you the next largest screen next to 70mm imax (both baton rouge AMCs)
standard 70mm-cinemark in perkins rowe will be showing it in this. Old school projector that will have incredible detail but will be cropped more than imax
dolby- arguably the best audio-picture combo and only slightly more cropped than standard imax (amc oneal)
Leaning standard imax but alot of redditors swear by Dolby. 70mm sounds like a good way to see it, and the way Nolan intended it to be seen, but i cant get over how much the top will be cropped. Still cant decide but want to get tickets soon, the 70mm is selling fast.

Bingo. Wouldn’t watch that ratfrick fest if you paid me.
Nolan is McG with a bigger budget.

Not paying to see that in a movie theater. If it's on a streaming service I have at the time I'll give it a watch.

I think I’ll solve this dilemma by not seeing it at all.

Might not watch at all after casting decisions. Just being honest.

Full digital imax at the Smithsonian (not the fake IMAX at most theaters) So a step below the real analog 70mm imax

it's a Universal movie so it'll probably be on Peacock.

Then I revise my answer to Peacock
I just don't have faith that it's going to be a very good movie. It's not about the casting or anything like that. The modernized, writing and reframing has a lot more to do with it. Not to mention the costume design is laughable and I just can't imagine that doesn't appear elsewhere
If I hear differently I might reconsider and see it in the theaters but it's still unlikely

70mm IMAX at a new screen in the burbs of Chicago. But it’s at 7:30am a few days after the premiere because I was stuck in a meeting when the tickets went on sale. Might go to one of the late regular IMAX showings before that if I can find good seats.

Dolby Cinema if I can
Would say IMAX, but my local theater put the uncomfortable lumpy seats in the IMAX theater
