Not paying to see that in a movie theater. If it's on a streaming service I have at the time I'll give it a watch.

The recent revelations about the characters and trailers make me think streaming.

Not falling victim to marketing hype. I don't think it's a coincidence that they're going so hard on getting presale tickets sold. This is going to be Nolan's weakest film.

IMAX70 in Chattanooga. On a Tuesday morning, so maybe not a huge crowd. No reserved seats, unfortunately.

XD. Whatever that is. It's the biggest/loudest screen our Cinemark has.

Dude, it’s Chris Nolan. It will be a very good film.

I get that armor knock. It definitely looks like a Batman suit.

Personally, that wouldn't stop me from seeing it though. Hell, Bravehearts costume design was awful and historically inaccurate. They weren't wearing kilts until hundreds of years later... still a great movie.

The issues with that have nothing to do with the historical accuracy.

There has been a lot of "Nola is smelling his own farts" warning signs as this movie has gone along and nothing brings it all together like that absurd and childish design.

The "dad" language, the version they're basing it off of, and this

quote:

“I cast him because I wanted to nod towards the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry, which is analogous to rap,”

are also huge red flags.

Yes, I will completely ignore that this was also a huge part of the ticket strategy for Oppenheimer, Nolan's previous woke, weak film that no one had any confidence in.

People bitched and complained about Heath Ledger being cast as the Joker as well. Tell me how that turned out.

Same. It's a shame because I'm basically a Greek mythology nerd. Jason and the Argonauts is one of my favorite movies. I even enjoyed Clash of the Titans and it's inferior remake and sequel.

Some really bizarre casting choices by Nolan in this film:

Everyone speaks with an American accent (even British actors)
Characters using modern dialogue
Agamemnon looks like Batman
Race swapped Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra
Not a single authentically Greek actor in a major role
