XD. Whatever that is. It's the biggest/loudest screen our Cinemark has.
XD big sound and large screens, unfortunate its inferior to true iMAX and Dolby.
Still decent and better than the lieMax screens.
Most of the premium formats around me are sold out, probably settle for the XD myself

Yeah I’m sorry I started this thread. I forget how weird this board is sometimes. Even if you don’t like the casting Nolan deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point

And for anyone doubting this film… listen to the early reviews.
same with supergirl. Anyone doubting supergirl just look at the early reviews USC poster posted weeks ago.

And same as was pointed out to you in the other thread, not all early reactions are the same. And Christopher Nolan is not the same as Craig Gillespie, director of Cruella and I Tonya. You guys want to hate something, which is fine. You don't have to play so goddamn dumb to justify hating something.
I'll be seeing it in IMAX sometime after the second weekend, because I can't get out to a theater during the first week. Time constraints don't allow me to be super choosy, but I figure I should see the movie filmed totally with imax cameras in the format.

You bums will never learn. No matter how many times you're proven wrong.

I’ll watch it myself before formulating too strong of an opinion but I’ll be shocked if it’s nothing but glowing reviews considering most of the media has been defending Nolan for basically a year at this point. They’re not going to turn around and dump on it even if it doesn’t live up to expectations.
I don’t like the casting and I don’t like the “modernized” story Nolan is going with but I think it’s still going to be at least a great theater experience.

AMC Dolby Cinema. Imax does not have recliners here.

Proven wrong about what? The value of seeing something before I decide if I like it or not? Of having the basic media literacy to differentiate between influencer and critic?
I might hate this movie. I'm often cold on Nolan. Inception, Interstellar, and Tenet are all big, loud, and dumb as frick, dressed up with constant and meaningless tech jargon, the absolute dumbest female characters, a cold (but pretty) aesthetic, and mind-numbing scores meant to assault your ears and shut down your brain. I like Oppenheimer and Dunkirk, but i think Nolan has made 2 great movies, and the most recent one was exactly 20 years ago. I'm very aware that The Odyssey could be more of the same as his other big action movies, regardless of what critics say. I enjoy reading reviews, but they don't shape my opinion for me. I do that for myself. You should consider doing the same.
I just don't hate the movie already, without seeing it, because that's dumb. You are playing dumb too successfully for your own good.

70mm IMAX at a new screen in the burbs of Chicago.
Careful, bub. I heard that's MAGA country. Probably not the best place to go see your woke queer African Greek movie.
