I had not heard of Goodby Christopher Robin. I really enjoyed the Christopher Robin that was in theaters a few months ago. This is a hilarious story. I’m just picturing this story playing out

This reminds me of the time in college I was doing a presentation and we needed to go to the website for dicks sporting goods and live on the projector my partner searched www.dicks.com and it was definitely not the sporting good store.

There were two Christopher Robin movies that came out. Was this the one where Christopher Robin goes off to fight in WW1? If so that was a good movie and my kids loved the pooh and friends as live characters.

The other is about AA Milne,I haven't seen it.

WWII, his dad in the film fought in WWI.
I thought it was good.

It's worse than that. The movie picks up where Christopher Robin left off at the end of the 1977 classic Winnie the Pooh. Which my kids loved. So naturally they were excited to see this. And they instantly recognized the iconic last scene about "not doing nothing anymore and going to school"

In this movie, portrayed in a long and dramatic montage: Christopher leaves the hundred acre woods only to watch his parents die at a young age, gets married but gets sent to war soon after, witnesses the horrors of war and misses the birth of his child and is an absentee husband and father and comes home with PTSD to an unwelcome house where his wife is distant and his child hates him.

This confused and upset my children.

Thanks alot for that movie. Merry Christmas.

the last one we had like this, a poster complained about how bad Dunkirk was but to only realize he watched the 2004 made for TV movie

This thread

Its like Dwight Schrute going to the movies to watch Grizzly Man, but accidentally goes into Wedding Crashers. He knows that Grizzly bear attacks are random, so he kept waiting, until he finally realized he was in the wrong movie.

Christopher Robin wasn't that great of a kids movie either. IMO it was made for nostalgic parents.

Agreed. Sounds like the little guy has an uphill battle in life given his father situation.
