I've always thought that Interview With the Vampire would have been much better if Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt had swapped roles.

Bingo

This is from the wikipedia entry on the comics
quote:

The early stories present Valérian as a typical square-jawed hero figure, who is strong and dependable

They chose to cast a scrawny, androgenous guy who looks like a 14 yr old boy instead.

An actual Moor, Arab or someone from North Africa instead of West Africans for Prince of Thieves or the recent Robin Hood.

Not Vince Vaughn it True Detective season 2. Every time I see his face I want to laugh. Maybe Michael Imperioli or even Idris Elba.

anything and everything denero has ever done replaced with liam neilson

denero got famous for the roles he played, but he didnt make the characters, they made him, replace him with just about any other actor and those movie roles would have been greatly improved

It’s a weird thing because the movie is damn near perfect, but I’d have loved to see Tom Hanks as Andy in Shawshank Redemption.

It isn’t that Robbins is bad in the role, I don’t think he’s a great actor and his detached and kind of aloof delivery was a pretty good fit for the role, but Hanks at his absolute peak could have made the character a little more sympathetic and easier to feel for. Andy by Robbins is pretty robotic, Hanks could have made him heartbreaking.

Funny that Hanks was making Forrest Gump instead. I’ve always thought Robbins could have played a pretty good Forrest. Wouldn’t have even had to change his Shawshank affect much at all
