Would that amp your interest in the charade-show?
I'd probably consider watching it with some mild interest.
And we could debate retroactive winners.
A non-debatable retroactive winner would be 2001 as the clear front-runner would ride away with it.
This scene should be emblazoned on fine China and served with a well tenderized or left in the doghouse for a day Ribeye and a fine ice-cold "whatevers on sale" beer.

Apart from some nice T&A scene, the scene with Alec Baldwin in Glengary Glen Ross. Didn’t that one scene get him a best supporting actor nomination?
The beach scene from SPR-
This one always gets me: the scene when he plays catch with his dad

The scene starring Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper in "True Romance" is the greatest in the history of film.
You can see Hopper deciding that he has to die, and deciding to get it done quickly, when he asks for a cigarette.

The surest way to turn this virile beast of a man into a fat blubbering mess is to show me the montage from Up:

The scene where Vito kills Fanucci is my favorite from GFII.

Joe Dirt should have taken home Best Picture for that matter.

If it was best opening montage I'd go with Up and Watchmen.

It's not a movie, but the scene in Daredevil where Punisher recounts how he was too tired to read a book to his daughter and she was murdered the next day is one of the most brutal and emotional scenes I've watched in recent memory. It killed me. I was a mess afterwards. Jon Bernthal absolutely crushed that scene.
I'm not sure I could bring myself to watch this scene again.
