They were both huge apartments that they could not afford with those jobs even in the 90's. However, i just found out their excuse for the girl's apartment was that Monica inherited a rent controlled apartment. Not sure that is legal thought. That's all the Friends research i'm doing.

Big Bang Theory is trash. Your friend is right.

They have an entire episode regarding this. Basically, her grandmother is the one that still has rent control. So, their documents say it's the grandmother that lives there. They pissed off the handyman and he threatened to get them evicted. Joey fixed it all by being his dance partner in practice so he could get ready for a date or something.

Friends is one of the best sitcoms of all time. I don't understand the hate.

“Anything that requires a laugh track isn’t funny to begin with.”
That’s what I’ve been told.

I think I read the cast members still make 20M a year from syndication.

I wouldn't doubt it. I think 20% of cable is Friends syndication.

Recently started re-watching as well. I agree, very good show first few seasons. Still hate ross though, and chandler is way more effeminate than I remembered but he's still funny as shite. And Jennifer Anniston, is even way more hot than I remembered, damn she was a good looking woman. Also, Rachel and ross were broken up, she's completely out of her mind for being upset with him.

how? Its on Nick at Nite every fricking day.
Rachel was a smoke show. Ross will forever be the biggest Pussy that has ever existed.

Friends doesn't hold up very well for me at all.
Agreed.
I liked it when it first came out. I liked it when it just started in syndication. Now it is on all the time and I never watch it.
I can watch re-runs of Seinfeld and The Office (before Steve Carrel left) countless times. I can even watch some of Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens. But for some reason Friends is the 90's sitcom I used to love that I just can't watch anymore.

Clearly. Ross orginally thought she meant they needed to cool off, but she said "break from us." Also when she went to see him the next day, she asked if she could be his girlfriend "again" meaning they weren't together anymore at that point.

I rewatch a few episodes of Seinfeld each week. We've done complete series rewatches of King of Queens and Rules of Engagement. I can't sit through an entire episode of Friends (and we watched the entire series in prime).

One of my favorite scenes in the entire show.

I never really get it either. There’s sitcoms I like more for sure (The Office, Parks & Rec, HIMYM), but Friends has remained one of my favorites since I started watching shortly after the series finale. It’s ok to like multiple series without being so antagonistic towards fans of other ones.

Those nipples earned her a lot of money.

about all i remember about the first season was at least every other show one of the girls was either running around in a teddy or a nightgown, or they were showing clear nipples through a shirt. its the only thing that kept me watching it because the show was never good, we just got used to it and accepted it as sometimes amusing at best
