I’m 5 episodes in. I find it to be pretty good, but my expectations were sky high hearing about it. It just doesn’t seem to be as good as everyone was saying. I have heard that it gets better though. But how much?

That’s because it’s not. Folks who didn’t like The Wire for whatever reason went on a warpath to find a show that could compete with it, they stumbled upon Breaking Bad and convinced themselves it’s the greatest show ever

It gets a lot better, in my opinion. But most people like season 1 better than I did.

Personally:

Season 1: 7
Season 2: 8
Season 3: 9
Season 4: 10
Season 5a: 8
Season 5b: 10

As for the OP, each season gets better and better. It goes from pretty damn good to one of the best shows ever

It's a phenomenal show but it's nowhere near the beat TV shows of all time.

If you don't like it now, I doubt it's going to get better for you. I thought the show was pretty boring myself.

I feel like there is improvement with every season. Late 4 is the pinnacle of the show imo but 5 isn’t a huge drop off.

People who don’t like breaking bad are searching for a reason not to, it’s damn near perfect.

I’m just pissed you have the opportunity to binge the entire show for the first time. I think I picked it up live towards the end of season 1.

Walter White and Jessie Pinkman are two characters who are both written incredibly well. Hell for that matter the entire cast is really well written. There are moments where it seems like things drag along, but you got to just get over it and push through. Those moments are so few and far between though, it is a great series.

It’s not a great binge show. I tried to do so twice and found myself bored. I stopped and picked it up years later. It gets very repetitive with story line. However, I you limit yourself to one season every 6-12 months, it’s much better.

It had a very satisfying end which is rare for great series it seems.

Pretty sure BB and the Wire are two of the most loved TV shows on this board.

I'm binging it currently and have 12 episodes left. Can't really do more than 3-4 episodes in a row, but end of season 4 moved very well.

Very excited to see what happens - it's a great show and the evolution of Walt and Jesse has been interesting to see.

God I freaking hate Skyler and Marie thought, they make me angrier at each season.
