I don’t see how it is possible not to like Breaking Bad. Stay with it and you will get sucked in.

To me, I doubt it gets much better for you, I think you are either into it from the first episode or you aren’t.

What you are experiencing is a show being way too hyped up, you have heard it was the best show ever for years so your expectations are too high.

It’s a great show and certainly worth finishing it if you like it thus far, just enjoy the ride and don’t necessarily expect it to get that much better ask it has some highs and lows along the way

The first season is the weakest, but still good. As Walt gets more intense, the show gets real good

The 2nd post in this thread. Check out the downvotes. That's pretty all that needs to be said.

Agree season 1 was pretty slow.

Seasons 2-5 will be worth it. The writing and casting were outstanding on BB.

it’s damn near perfect.

Not even close. I slugged through breaking bad a few years back and have no interest in ever doing a rewatch. It does a horrible job trying to blend a semi-realistic narrative/story with unrealistic characters.

Each season gets better. 1 is by far the weakest.

Direct answer:

On the review aggregator website Metacritic, the first season scored 73 out of 100, the second 84 out of 100, the third 89 out of 100, the fourth 96 out of 100, and the fifth 99 out of 100.

Stay the course yo.

It is a character driven show. Once you get hooked on Walt and Jesse, it will get better

Completely disagree. I didn't like season 1 at all until then end of it. It took off from there and is one of if not my favorite series ever.

I’m just pissed you have the opportunity to binge the entire show for the first time. I think I picked it up live towards the end of season 1.

I watched the entire series over the span of a couple of weeks in 2017. I even called in sick one day at work to watch the entire Season 3

Just got done watching it it first time through yesterday. The first season sets expectations for characters and then starts to break all of them, in an expertly choreographed fashion, where they don’t bend too far out of character at each break.

If you’re a few episodes in and your thoughts are “Gee, Walt is a good guy”, “This dumb punk Jesse is an insufferable prick with no idea what’s going on”, and “Hank is a just another sexist power hungry arse cop making racist jokes”.....you’re in for a ride.
