Yep and they had to bring up the white walkers again. Every time they do that it's just a reminder of the horrible ending of GOT. Stop fricking doing that. I will say that Daemons story this season makes me want to read F&B just bc GRRM said he was his favorite character to write and I liked him so much I'm s1 until the writers said they were upset that people liked him so much

I didn't find the story bad, it was interesting, it just feels like it never moved forward. There has been more action in the first two episodes of the new umbrella academy then all of HOTD, and that's not right.
If they had two more episodes with the upcoming battles in them OR condensed some of the politicking and alliance building crap and put the battles in episode 8 it would have been much better. I still want to know what happens, but I don't really care all that much if it never airs...

Watched it. Very good explanation and critique. Made good points about how Discovery s finances screwed things up.

Here's an interesting rundown.
House of the Dragon Season 2 | HBO's 100 Million Dollar Disaster
I'm sure it generates clicks but in no way was season 2 a disaster. It was a great season of TV that ended too soon.
But of course that's not as fun to say, it's better to yell about how everything sucks

Most are calling it an utter disappointment and you’re one of the few just saying their opinion is wrong…..could it be possible that you’re a bit of a fan boi?

Explain the Daemon/Riverlands blunder. How do they go from clearly backing Rhaenyra, to the appearance that they’ll do whatever Daemon does in regards to backing her? Where was Oscar Tully in the last episode?

Well, you very clearly have shitty taste in TV shows. You have made that abundantly clear.

I mean, did u watch the season? He earned the Riverlords trust when he "did the right thing" and beheaded his biggest supporter.
They didn't know rhaenyra, they were sworn to Daemon at that point.
I guess they needed to throw in 3 episodes of him chatting it up/partying with his army in camp though..... Despite them showing in season 1 how loyal his men were to him before he was exiled.
Obviously Simon Strong thought otherwise, but the petty lords/armies were more loyal to the guy they knew. Not that difficult to understand.
There are enough examples in real world history of armies being more loyal to their commander than their King/Queen that I don't even know how someone could see an issue with this.

Most people voted for Joe Biden. Being on the side of most should be a clear sign you're doing something wrong

No Oscar Tully and the River Lords made it quite clear that they were sworn to Rhaenyra NOT Daemon.
At this point its clear that you're the equivalent of a Swiftie and the show runners could literally take a shite on screen for an hour and you'd tell us how wonderful the episode was.
It wasn't season 8 GOT bad but it was a waste of a season. The story barely moved forward. I'd say the first half of the season was an 8/10 up to rooks rest but the second half of the season was more like a 5/10. After Rooks rest, they just kind of limped to the end of the season with no pay off.

This isn't some argument where 60M people are on one side and 65M people are on the other. You are almost alone in your undying support. You're like a green bro trying to convince the rest of the world that paper straws aren't that bad.

nah, Episode 8 has 50% audience score on the dot.
half liked it, half didn't
There are actually a lot of episodes of TV shows I like that don't have a battle scene or dragon fight

That’s. Or how the numbers work. A 50% score means that not many likes it. It’s not a binary yes or no. It’s a scale. For a 50% score, it means that it’s not getting very good reviews.

It is exactly a binary scale, thumbs up (like) or thumbs down (don't like)

So not good
My reaction to the end of season 1: OMG it's about to go down.
My reaction to the end of season 2: Omg it's about to go down.

And not even factoring in not having a showdown this season, do a better job of writing characters that people care about. They have a lot of filler they have to do and it's pretty clear they are not good at the filler aspects.

The finale? No it was disappointing. You being a contrarian is the least surprising thing in this thread. Hope you enjoy yourself

We had multiple showdowns in the final episode alone.
Alyn and Corlyss
Rhaenyra and Daemon.
Rhaenyra and Alicent
I guess you just forgot about Vhagar and Meleys
