he said he socked away the gold from harrenhal, which confirmed what Simon strong told daemon earlier.
I don’t think that gold is the “crown’s gold” of the book
Ah, I didn't catch that. I was wondering how he had access to the crown's gold

The issue for me isn't even the lack of action, the first couple of seasons of GoT were pretty dialogue filled and more of a political drama than an action packed show. It's that the character development just sucks, I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't care if any of these characters were killed, I just don't have any sort of emotional attachment to them. And with the lack of action, that's what they should be attempting to develop. I just feel like they failed. In GoT you cared when Ned was killed, you hated Joffrey because he was a bratty little bitch, you were sad for Sansa for having to deal with Joffrey, you thought Arya was a funny little rebellious kid, you think Tyrion is great for his insight and how he treats Joffrey/Cersei. I'm on season 2 of a rewatch of GoT and there are at least a dozen characters that I would rank above the best character in HotD.
This is what I posted in a thread a few weeks ago...

I could take it a step farther and say that they have made a show where you don't really care what happens to the majority of the characters. Almost two seasons in now and ANY of the characters on HoTd could die and nobody would care half as much as we did after one season of Ned Stark, and Ned wasn't even the most liked character.
I definitely agree with you.

Come to think of it, are we to imply that Tranny Lohar wanted Tyland to frick his wives because he doesn’t have a penis anymore and can’t reproduce? There was some allusion to ruined penises this ep.

Lohar is a female dressed as a man. They merged Lohar with Racallio Ryndoon, the cross-dressing drunk pirate with a dozen wives.

Sharako Lohar was a Lysene admiral for the Triarchy.[1]
In the television adaptation House of the Dragon, Lohar is merged with Racallio Ryndoon and the character's sex has been changed to female; though she personally identifies as a woman, her society genders her as a man because of her leadership role.[2] She is portrayed by Abigail Thorn.

There. I provided sources for the downvoters

I am talking about the actual actor who is tranny and them shoehorning in that BS into the story which is not consistent with the book material it is adapting.

Never heard of the actor/actress
Did the show mention anything about trans?
Ryndoon was a pirate captain that dressed like a woman and pretended to be a whore, so being a female dressed as a male captain is pretty consistent haha

She's definitely hot, but the show seems to have aged her up a bit or something that looks off.

I get what you’re saying, I am saying the “actress” “Abigail Thorn” is not a real woman but is a tranny man. I asked if the show runners are subtly referring to said tranny nonsense by having Lohar request that Tyland frick the trannys wives. If the tranny has no penis, this would give rise to the request…

They didn't say, maybe she just wants to give her wives a dick for a night, or maybe she wants Tyland to get them pregnant so she can pass off the kids as her own (it's unclear whether the men know that she's a woman or not)

She makes a joke about not allying with a person that could not best HER. Implying that she can't team up with someone who can't best a woman. Its pretty clear from the jump that everyone knows shes a woman. They did get the message that the show lacked any humor, they just picked a very weird, high stakes time to add in humor. And in my opinion it missed. It was more cringey than funny.

Yeah, should've been earlier in the season (or maybe spread throughout the season) , but I understand they needed to find the greens a fleet.
But its not like it took away anything else with the episode runtime.

Undoubtedly hot but a bad actress. She has been bad in the three things I’ve seen her in. Bates Motel shoutout

Undoubtably hot I'd agree, bad actress I'd argue against. I think she's one of the better actor or actresses on the show. I didn't mind her in Bates Motel either, although her character just wasn't that great in general. In some fairness to her in Bates Motel, most teenage/early 20's actors are not that great at acting.

She was also not very good in ready player one

No Sheep stealer is about the same age as Syrax if I remember correctly. Grey Ghost is even smaller. The Cannibal is the one that is HUGE.
Edit: Sheepstealer is actually over 50 years old so I was mistaken. IDK, I didn't find the size of the dragon all that big of an issue.
This raises a GOT question - How the hell did Dany's three get so big so quickly?

Not according to the director and showrunners.
quote:
House of the Dragon director Clare Kilner has explained why Season 2 of the Game of Thrones prequel series is two episodes shorter than the first season, emphasizing the reason is largely story-driven.
Kilner told The Hollywood Reporter that showrunner Ryan Condal decided to reduce the second season of House of the Dragon to eight episodes instead of 10 because he felt the story would benefit from a short episode count as it would ensure better pacing and a solid beginning and ending to the season.
"There are eight wonderful episodes with so much happening in every episode, and we have trouble, at times, bringing them down to one hour," Kilner said of the new season. "Ryan's decision was to give it a good opening and a good ending, and they're jam-packed with emotional and visually exciting events."
Condal previously likened the second season of House of the Dragon to the "middle run of Game of Thrones", explaining that the slower-paced first season invested time in the characters to allow for more "spectacle" in the follow-up. Kilner said each director is bringing their own unique flair to the show, especially Alan Taylor.
