So is this show any good? Thinking about starting it when it finishes.

Yes. This first season is better then GOT first season and it's got 3 episodes left. I don't know why everyone assumed it would suck just because D&D couldn't wait to be done with GOT and completely botched the end when they ran out of source material.

I like this season one better than season one of GoT. When I first watched GoT I didn't get it. I mainly watched because all of the book readers were coming out of the woodwork saying this is going to be epic given the source material. So I gave it a chance even though I had no clue what was going on the first few episodes.

This one I've liked from the first episode.

This was the episode I was waiting for, and I was not disappointed...except in the ridiculously dark scenes. I was in a completely darkened room and thought, as others did, that I had changed a setting on my tv. I do get that there was atmosphere was created by that, prob unintentionally. We were straining to see in the dark just like the characters, but it was a pain in my arse.

I, too, am Team Aemond. He was ridiculed and attacked and proceeded to claim the best dragon, get everyone in trouble, face down all of them, and handle it with a very mature outlook, i.e., "Vhagar is worth my eye, it's cool."

Still NOT Team Alicent. She is in a desperate, grasping spin. It is not a good look. Is there something going on with her and Criston other than their petty, mutual hatred of Rhaenyra? She said something a couple of eps ago about them cleaving to each other, and something else she said this ep made me say "Hm..." It was enjoyable to see even him leave her hanging by not enucleating a child at her behest.

Rhaenyra's solution for Laenor was good. I was glad to see him get out of the situation alive. He did the best he could, I think, and didnt deserve to be killed.

Rhaenyra and Daemon....YES. There was never any doubt. They are fire together (no pun intended). Juxtapose the two of them with Criston and Alicent, who strut and fret and get mad and let their emotions just run rampant. Head to head, R and D can chew them up and spit them out.

The Valyrian wedding was bizarre but at least I could see it clearly.

Yes, the ,king is too nice. Daemon is the alpha. However, everyone forgets Daemon told his brother he would protect him. Unfortunately, he had no clue what Daemon was talking about and refused.

I thought the actress playing Rhaenyra did a good job in the knife scene. Basically, you could tell she wanted to kill the queen, she knew she could kill the queen, but made the quick decision just to let the queen's crazy go on full display.

Yeah, it’s really good. Don’t go in expecting GOT though. It’s not on that level

Still team Alicent. When she asked for that kids eye it made me like her more. Maybe I am a little nuts.

I'm not team Alicent but I don't know why she inspires so much hatred

She's just a regular Karen mom dealing with a bunch of complete degenerates

He's a psycho because his Dad barely acknowledges him and his mother is desperate. He gets picked on as an easy target and he and Aegon are two whiny snots. Pretty similar to how Joffrey was in GOT. Kings' sons tend to be pretty terrible people. They never do turnout sons that are capable of ruling for very long.

Is there a Driftmark in Game of Thrones?

I know a lot of houses that were Yargaryen loyalists were punished after Robert's rebellion.
I didn't realize there were two Valaryen strongholds in westeros.

I know how the story goes but I don't see why so many people are on Rhaenyra's side.

In Game of Thrones it was obvious to me that Ned and his children were the only decent people in this world. They were punished for being decent.

This story all parties are pretty disgusting but Rhaenyra seems to get a pass and most of the fanbase are rooting for her to get with her uncle. Probably just evidence of how far our society has fallen. George himself is a pretty disgusting creature.
