Did anyone at the funeral seriously not notice Daemon giggling?

This show just keeps getting better. Love the twist at the end.
Still team Alicent. When she asked for that kids eye it made me like her more. Maybe I am a little nuts.
I don't blame her. It was 4 on 1 and one of them also brought a dagger.

Yea I didn’t understand that. I think it happened so early in the episode that all the other happenings were more thought of.

He took the dagger out after Aemond took a rock and was about to bash his brother's head in after he threatened to burn him alive.

And they're bastards.
What does that have to do with Aemond being demented?

I mentioned it earlier that Daemon was like lets just get this over with. No wants to be here and many that here are not here to honor her just as a requirement of their position.
There was so much tension in that funeral with no one really consoling anyone, just everyone staring down someone and making sure they were not going to get a dagger in the back.
That whole funeral and the scenes after was a tinderbox waiting to go up in flames.

Did notice him chuckle. Not sure what that was about because while he may not have totally loved his wife they did have a good relationship. He was probably chuckling thinking about the S show that was about to erupt.

Corlys' brother was the one being shitty during the battle of the Stepstones, and he was the one officiating the funeral, and he decided it was appropriate to spend the entire eulogy throwing mad shade at Rhaenyra about her kids not being Laenor's while glaring at her while everyone else tried to pretend it wasn't happening. Daemon was laughing at the absurdity of it.

This. That guy was absolutely destroying Ser Laenor which is why Daemon was laughing to himself. I'm surprised Rhaenyra either didn't notice or maybe it was at that time when she thought the farce of her marriage couldn't continue.

GOT and this will go down in history as the worst looking “dark” shows of all time. It’s utterly ridiculous.
They are clearly filming in broad daylight then applying filters to make it look dark.
It's a horrible look.
Great episode in the end though. Every episode has delivered.

Cutting the hand open to seal a bond always bugs me. You can do serious nerve damage to your hand and ruin your ability to grip a weapon. How about you do a superficial cut and let the blood drip down to your hands
Agreed. It doesnt make sense

Remember those people the Hound hooked up with? Nice folks and they all got butchered.
Al Swearengen escaped and moved to South Dakota, cocksucker.

So asked this earlier, but do they have any explanation for how Otto was able to weasel his way back into being Hand?
The show just glossed over this with no explanation and no logical reason the King would allow this from what I’ve seen?

Obviously the Queen has influence over and can convince the King to take her father back!!!

I mean, maybe, but she sure doesn’t have his favor. Rhaenyra wanted him gone in the first place. Viserys goes from I can’t trust you to…well, frick it come on back home?

He was chuckling because the uncle said “salt courses through Velaryon blood, ours runs thick, ours runs true, and it must never thin”. They kept showing Daemon, and then Rhaenyra, he was laughing because her kids are bastards and their blood is being thinned by that. They don’t have any true heirs of Velaryon.
ETA: I see this was covered

Viserys is a path of least resistance kind of guy and very quick to forgive and forget and pretend it never happened. Firing Otto was just as much about appeasing Rhaenyra to solve the problem of her marriage and escapades as it was about really caring that he'd been manipulated, and once Rhaenyra left for Dragonstone, it's just been Alicent in his ear (and taking care of him as he falls apart).
I mean every episode of this season, Daemon has gotten exiled, welcomed back and exiled again, lol. Viserys doesn't seem to hold grudges long.
