He has a skeevy creeper vibe for sure.

So, it was believed that the father was collateral damage to whoever set this up. I felt like the show was maybe trying to show this with Harwin being in the room with fire and the dad on the other side
I could see Larys having some issues with Lord Strong as the Dad likely favored the more physically capable of the two sons when being a Knight was everything to a male. Which of the brothers was older and stood to inherit Harrenhall?
Doesn't seem all that crazy for a younger brother to kill off an older brother and father in order to come into sizable inheritance.

Do you think Daemon is? Or did i take that scene with him flying through the fire too literally.
I've heard George say Daemon is his favorite Targaryen. I wouldn't be surprised if he is immune. They seem to be building him up to be one of if not THE badass of the series.

It was Harwin. Lyonel mentioned that it was time for Harwin to learn his duties as Lord of Harrenhal.

At the very least, they never once showed Larys resenting Harwin.

They should've left it ambiguous like in the book.

I think that was the whole point of his little speech at the end. He will get further in his life because he doesn't have love standing in his way. He only cares about himself and his goals. So, it didn't matter if he resented Harwin. All that mattered was it helped the queen, which helped him since he has hitched his wagon to her.
I also just realized I was wrong about questioning if he meant to kill Lyonel, too. I forgot he made it clear he did it because Alicent wanted her father back as hand. So, he took care of that for her.

Big ‘just a baby daddy’ energy in the scene when Harwin is kissing his kids goodbye. Rhaenyra just stone faced him the whole time

I think someone already mentioned it but I loved the suicide by dragon scene and thought it was funny that he thought about and then was like ok if you say so….

Maybe I missed it, but kind of surprised the writers didn't include some throwaway dialgoue in the beginning of the episode to establish there's been a 10-year jump.
For example:
Laenor: "Rhaenyra, it's been 10 years since our wedding, and you're still not treating me as an equal in this marriage and giving me a say in the name of our child."

I’m almost 100% sure they did, just can’t recall the line. I think it was line regarding one of the kids ages

The existence of the different aged kids didn’t fill that gap in for you?

I was fully aware that there would be a 10-year time jump, but for people who don't read Reddit or fansites or who can't judge how old a specific child is in a fantasy world with dragons*, providing a bit of throwaway dialogue making it clear how much time has passed since the previous episode seems like a pretty obvious thing to do.
As another poster mentioned, there likely was some throwaway dialogue, but I just missed it since I was already aware of the jump.
*Seriously, if you haven't read the books and it's not explicitly stated in the show, is it clear how old ANY of these characters are supposed to be?

What a shock you want to censor and exclude opposing opinions. Communist.

Cool, so we can expect you to no longer watch/post/whine about the show going forward in these episode threads?
No, because you don’t matter.

They definitely did it at least twice. I believe the first was when they talked about how long Daemon had been away from the Step Stones. I can't remember the specifics of the other.

It was in regard to Daemon defeating the crab man in the Stepstones. “That was a decade ago” or something to that extent.

I'm kind of bummed that Harwin Strong died. He seemed like one of the few actual likable characters in the show.
Welcome to the GOT universe. Nice people not welcomed
