going to be pretty hard to frick this up considering the ending is already written and set in place. All that’s left to do is tell the story well and they are doing so wonderfully

it’s great TV

Also helps this is basically GRRM's TV baby too.

He handpicked the showrunner, writers, is taking a much more active role, and pushed for this amongst the roughly 2 million pilots HBO was considering.

I thought they were going to examine the princess to see if her maidenhood was still "in tact". Which obviously wouldn't be after the Cole scene.

I halfway expected this to come up as well.

She probably better go on and drink the tea...

+1000 this is the best thing on TV currently and it's unfortunate that some are dismissing it as just more got s7/8 bullshite.

As a stand alone, and as not one, it's awesome television.

They've got something special going when they can peel me away from Sunday Night Football.

Granted, last night's game was a clunker, but I had already made my viewing choice before the game started.

I'm already afraid of the withdrawals waiting for Season 2 after episode 10.

The OT likes to rate women but they are very monogamous when it comes to fantasy women.

It is actually younger still in GoT. Sansa was ready to wed "once she got her moon blood". That could be much earlier than 14. Also oddly in Europe right now it's 16 not 18.

I thought at first he was a Baratheon, they were in the Baratheon hall (the guy next to Rhaeneya(can't spell that shite) was wearing the stag. So this loud mouth was a random house then.

Loved how the little guy was ready to throw down though. You can't just throw the word "craven" around back then and not answer for it.

I'm really enjoying the costume design in this series. Maybe even more so than for GoT.

Rhaenyra in particular has had some awesome outfits.

Like the details of the "dragon scales" on this one:

This one was cool too but couldn't find a good screenshot (this is when Daemon arrives in the throne room wearing a crown in episode 4):

The new Rhaenyra actress is Emma D’Arcy.

Per Wikipedia,

D'Arcy is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.

Folks here will love her.

And to think I was the only one who has noticed her badass outfits.

Her best may have been the one she was wearing, IIRC, when she was reading outside and her stepmom came to annoy her.

*ETA: may be the first one you posted.

I do wish they could've found a better looking actress for older rhaenyra...but it sounds like D'arcy was the very first actor the showrunners hired so they must be pretty sold.

i guess they're trying to stay more true to the book? older rhaenyra is described as having packed on the pounds in the source material.

Declaring herself non-binary classifies everyone as either binary or non-binary, creating a binary system which makes her, in fact, binary.

Yea, but we live in this world where it is creepy. It goes with the territory for GOT, but that doesn't mean people aren't allowed to be creeped out by incest.
