This crossed my mind when I was watching it as well. But there's literally no argument because then I thought back to Jon Snow in the BotB. Dude didn't even take a single arrow the entire battle

As someone else said there’s obviously a little bit of plot armor involved but I didn’t think it was egregious.
Well and there’s always just the element of sheer dumb luck. They were calling it a suicide mission beforehand. Daemon was willing to die in battle at that point after he felt like he was slighted and emasculated by his brother (being “saved”).
We’ve all seen far worse. Only drawback for me is I would’ve liked to have seen him chop that crabby bastard in half.

Like someone said earlier in the thread, I bet they show the conversation that happened and the cutting in half in a later episode.
Kind of like the magneto scene where he tells Kevin Bacon that he agrees with everything he said right before he kills him, and then in real time daemon does something shocking.

Do we think we will see another battle this season?

Who were the other dragon riders? Dudes had some big boys they were riding. Daemon has the runt of the litter or something.

Dude took at least 3 arrows. He had one in the leg and two in the chest.

There are a lot of dragons in the world and their riders aren’t just a matter of seniority.
One rider may claim a young dragon, another rider may claim an older one who’s prior rider has died, etc.

nothing subtle about this show LOL.
viserys flailing around trying to kill a roped up deer while his daughter struts back in to camp covered in blood dragging a dead boar.
great action at the end, daemon is a badass.
also the valeryons look ridiculous in those blond cornrow wigs, takes me right out of the scene (until dragons)

Ever considered the guy lost two fingers already plus its probably likely over the course of 3 years the fester on his back multiplied as well.
I think you are looking for woke where there is none.
The White Heart showing up for Rhaenyra and her going psycho on the boar was simply used as a story tool to give the viewer the idea that even the mystical/fantastical parts of Westeros favored the decision already made by Viserys. It gives the viewer more reason to understand whats coming soon.

I disagree. I think Corlys is fricking badass. If anyone can relate to a Lord. He would have to be that guy.

I think the Velaryons look great to be honest. Sea snake is a badass and Laenor might be heading that direction too

Steve Toussaint has been great in the role of the Sea Snake, honestly. Not over the top. Can definitely buy him as a Lord in the way he carries himself. Loved the scene with him and Daemon when he asks him to join his cause.

Daemon had an arrow sticking out of his right chest/shoulder. Between the battlefield and the beach, it moved up several inches. Continuity director messed up on that one.

A boar she didn’t kill
Nothing screams girl power like a woman showing off a kill she didn’t do herself
You’re a fricking idiot

Not crazy at all.. When he learned of viserys joining in on the fight he wanted glory and the win for himself. He forced the fight before they arrived

At the funeral for her mother and brother Rhaenyra gave the Dracarys command while standing in the ground if I remember correctly

exactly. yeah he was white in the books but the actor is good and his role has been solid. i pity the people that cant get over that. I know GRRM approved of the casting. I'm loving this show so far. it has exceeded every |

yeah it was a little over the top, but in real life arrows wouldn't pierce that armor anyway

Show has been fantastic so far. As others have mentioned I’m going to miss Molly Alcock. Wasn’t a fan in the first episode but she’s grown on me. Completely nailed episode 3.
exactly. the scene with the king andLyonel Strong was fricking lit. viserys was like maybe i should trust this guy more. they nailed the casting
