Not reading this whole thread but I assume these thoughts are in it. I did not read the books and don't care to.
Birth scenes, I'm done with them and this one was too much. JFC.
Show seemed predictable. The whole death at the end ypu saw coming a mile away.
Show should have ended with the last episode. This Show was the weakest of the season. Not much of a cliffhanger.
If people have to wait 2 years for a new season HBO better have something else to keep people watching their stuff.

Lol wow what a take. You don’t need a cliffhanger every season. The episode began with restraint against war and ended with obvious rage that will lead to war. That’s enough to get people to return come season 2.

yea, I think cliffhangers have been way overdone as of late. its actually refreshing to not end with one esp when the next season is so far away. imo cliffhangers are for mid-season breaks.

Show didn’t need a cliff hanger ending in any way. It ended at the perfect moment with aemon killing luc.

Just watched the episode and will read these 17 pages later. My takeaway is that I am pissed we have to wait two years now.

Watched the episode last night. Thought it was the best one yet. Great directing and cinematography. I told my wife I would have liked to have seen the actress that plays Rhaenyra play Daenerys in the original GOT. She's sells her character better for me and seems like a better actress overall.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but I will say she has absolutely knocked it out of the park. Everyone was upset that the original Rhaenyra was getting replaced, myself included b/c she was great as well, but Emma D’Arcy has totally surprised me with how good she is doing in this role.

daemon and rhaenyra left KL with viserys basically walking dead. Everyone knows he’s about to die. So they go home and just...wait?
why haven’t they scoured the realm for allies already? Why haven’t they traveled to every house to re-secure alliances and get ready to take over? She’s the heir, she can go anywhere and do anything she wants in the crowns name. They already know the lannisters and hightowers are a lost cause, they should have been ready for this.

Well Rhaenyra was supposed to be flying back to Kings Landing right after she got back home. Remember she told Alicent that she'd come back after dropping her kids off at Dragonstone. I think it was only a couple of days between when they left Kings Landing to the events of the Finale (I could be wrong there).

I did have a question to anyone who knows. Who was the 3rd dragon seen when the kids flew away from Dragonstone? Was that Rhaenys going to patrol like she said she would?

yes I suppose that’s true but realistically while viserys is alive she could have and should have done more (perhaps not personally but certainly by proxy). Anyway, minor criticism as I said

So what’s the plan with the riderless dragon daemon goes to meet? Wiki says that’s king jahaerys’ dragon (vermithor?). Who else can ride?

That's a pretty reasonable question, IMO. Unless you're a farmer tending to his fields while Arrax confetti falls from the sky (assuming it's not over water), only Aemon would know what happened, right?
