Still the dance is at heart a conflict between a princess and a queen. There’s much more going on in blackfyre
I mean, if you really wanna boil it down that far, the blackfyres kept coming back because blood raven and bittersteel hated each other so much.

It’s a message board, I’m posting my opinion about the show. A show I’ve actually complimented a good bit more so even than I have criticized just one episode. You’ll be alright

I guess
there’s a lot more going on beneath the surface than jn dance though. Not that one is better than the other because of it. Shierra seastar, daemon, bloodraven, bittersteel, the fall out from aegon the unworthy, the way how it almost all completely ties and feeds directly into the main ASOIAF novels, etc

Just wanted to say I appreciate the memes you post in here. Please continue

Since you don't seem to understand how posting what happened in the books is a spoiler since it already happened in the show, let me give an example. I'm going to be as vague as possible to avoid ruining it for others, but anyone who isn't a dick should probably scroll past the rest of my post just to be safe...
There's a post on page 13 about Laenor. In the thread for the episode he ran away in, someone explained how the Laenor thing went down in the books. Because of that post I now have an idea of whether or not the post about him on the page before this will happen or not. Luckily I will probably forget before next season, but do you see the issue? It's just not worth bringing those things up. We have some posters (Belle for example) who do a very good job of giving us lore and background info without ruining shite. Just leave it to them.

Please give me one example I’ve “ruined” for anyone. Someone did post the actual ending of the episode and no one seemed to care

You mentioned something Aemond did in Fire and Blood a few hours ago in this thread...something that didn't happen in the finale so that potentially ruins something for next season.
Just stay away from mentioning anything that happens in the books in these threads to be safe, please.

The post you're referring to was at 8:47 PM. So basically as it was happening. He wasn't posting spoilers, I kinda figured he was going to run into Aemond too. It wasn't hard to guess at that point.
Edited because Mickey pointed it out in the post above more discretely...This one isn't a big deal but shite like that starts to add up. What do you gain by posting it?

“Ooh did you see that cool table, that was awesome”
When this is the highlight of a season finale, you’re watching shite. Only book nerds enjoy this show because on its own it’s a boring, prime time soap opera at best.

I've never read any on the books nor have any of my friends and we all love the show.

Regarding the scene where Daemon choked Rhaenyra I think I interpret it differently than some so here are my thoughts (long post incoming).
Daemon was not choking her because he was jealous that Viserys told her about it, he did it because it represented a trait his brother had that he detested the most. He is already angered by her lack of immediate action and now she is speaking to him of prophecies that in his mind have no bearing on this situation. He does not want her to have the same weaknesses his brother possessed.
The realization for her is that Viserys never considered him his true heir. Now not only is she alarmed that this man dared to put his hands on his wife and queen but she is also wondering whether her father saw him as unworthy. She had idolized him all her life but she knows how important the prophecy was to her father so the fact that he withheld it from Daemon may cause her to see him in a different light.
Of course what she doesn't know is that there is another explanation for why he never told Daemon the song of ice and fire. He believed himself to have prophetic dreams. His obsession with his dreams convinced him that he would have a son. He only gave up on his dreams after the death of Aemma and Baelon which he blamed on his obsessions. That was the moment he accepted that he would never have a son. It is also the night that Daemon made the toast and was replaced as heir. It is possible that had that not happened Viserys would have told the song to him instead of Rhaenyra.
Of course Rhaenyra probably doesn't know all of this because he confessed this to Alicent not to he r.Overall I think from this point forward she is going to be pursuing Daemon's policy of total war but that she is going to be wary of him and we will see a rift develop.

No idea why people are so hung up on "how do they know Luke was dead"
The entire castle saw him leave, would have seen Aemond shortly follow and pretty quickly deduced it when combining all the facts and likely questions of where is luke that would have come from Dragonstone when he hadn't returned quickly.
We don't know if Deamon telling her is a few hours later and a day later or what.
Some of ya'll get hung up on the most ridiculous stuff.

I don't want to read through all 16 pages of this thread because I'm wary of spoilers from the book(s), but I have a question about Laenor's "death."
Did Rhaenyra and Daemon actually want him killed, or was the plan all along for Laenor and Correy to fake Laenor's death and then escape? It wasn't clear to me whether the fake out was Rhaenyra's and Daemon's actual plan or if Correy and Laenor came up with it because Correy couldn't go through with actually killing him?
