Wow, not sure what to think. I'm not sure Brody knew this was going down.

It was Brody, and he looked nervous sitting there.

Carrie.

And if Brody is guilty and playing Carrie and is still a jihadist, why not kill Carrie in the woods at the end?

She is LITERALLY the only one who knows that he is actually alive and where he is headed AND what identity he is using with his false ID and papers.

The producers just did a podcast and apparently Galvez was at the memorial and he is dead.

Nope, just rewatched.

Estes is speaking and lauds Walden for the drone strikes. Brody is not looking at Carrie and he he shakes his head in disgust.

The audience applauds and Carrie leans back and looks at Brody.

Carrie gestures to the door with her head and Brody raises his eyebrows.

Carrie nods and exits first.

They cut to the Nazir burial.

The next we see of Carrie and Brody is them entering the elevator.

This is true. He looked sketchy as shite though.

Maybe because keeping her alive means Brody now has an inside into the CIA.

As far as Dana goes, I think the producers originally had her as being dead but they decided to keep her on board (I guess bc she's a great teen actor ).

When she decided not to go to the memorial I just knew her arse was going to live.

The producers epically trolled us with the worthless love story of Dana and Finn.

I'm just say this one thing and then let yall continue...

Dana has to be the nappiest headed teenager in America. What is wrong with that girls head? Her own mama couldn't straighten that weave out after 40 minutes.

Mom looks classy and hot. Daughter looks like she rolled around in three day old garbage.

She takes after her dad.

I don't think I can add anything that hasn't already been said in this thread.

I just love it when a show can get one Holy shite The Just Did That Moment on me... This one did three (and a half).

1 Quinn's bedroom badass speech
2 The Big Boom
3 Brodie's video hitting the airwaves
-- The half when Brodie was being honest with Dana about Carrie

As far as the mole storyline goes, there's is no mole storyline.

after watching the SHOrunners clip at Showtime's site, where they talk about how Nazir burned his whole cell it would make sense that he also burned the mole. So the mole in theory, could have been killed.

-I think Brody was unaware, but the show does have the snippet of Nazir and Brody praying together after he was abducted in their back pocket.

That storyline fleshed out the VP's family.

Carrie and Brody being able to get away from Langley unnoticed is a hole in the story that bugged the shite out of me.

i can't believe that the cia building doesn't have bullet proof glass or some type of anti-shatter glass - to protect the building from the blast and that cameras arent everywhere - maybe i'm reading to much into this. Where's Quinn?

I need to rewatch this part--if Brody was involved he would have made sure he was not in the room when the bomb went off unless he wanted to martyr himself.

The VP's family never had any profound effect on the main storyline or the main characters. Mrs. Walden was just a first lady in waiting, and Finn had daddy issues and dated Dana for 2 episodes.

The hit and run Dana/Finn storyline didn't end up leading to anything other than we got to see that Dana felt guilty.

Their romance was more time filler than anything else.

It didn't end up meaning anything (yet). I guess the producers are all in on making Dana more viable for next season.

i think they created the dana storyline to keep brody involved with his family.

brody doesnt care about his wife and would have left her a long time ago if it wasnt for the kids. there isnt any storyline involving his son, as i believe he was very young when brody left to iraq, so they never had a relationship.

the writers just used dana/finn as a vehicle to keep the brody family relevant. i would have preferred they just showed his wife naked alot more.

Good point. They definitely put a ton of face time on Dana this season, even to the point of turning Chris into a love-sick puppy to make her stand out more.

ETA: And if you think about it, they needed to make the Brody family more relevant in some way, because where do they go from here? Now that Mike is taking care of things how can they be infused back into the storyline?

I guess they are going to find new and creative ways to jam them back into the main themes. Maybe Chris will turn into a MMA fighter (he does like karate).

I don't think Brody cared whether he lived or died. We still don't know what really happened when he was with Nazir. He also just asked Mike to take care of his family. If Brody wasn't in on the attack, how did he not notice the c4 in his SUV? That wasn't just a small brick that caused that damage. I think Brody was responsible for the attack although the writers left it very ambiguous so it could go either way.

If it was Brody, I don't think they would have had him mention his car was moved or let Carrie and himself live.

I think there is another player in the game here.

I'm sure the writers initially envisioned Brody dead by now.

A lot of people are saying Brody should've died, it's implausible he's alive, the show needs to move on etc.

Can you imagine if Brody had died only a few months after Damian Lewis won the Emmy for best actor in a dramatic series?

agree 100%, although i still love this show and cant wait til season 3, season 1 was so much better than season 2. the writing started to go down the drain the last few episodes, with so many damn plot holes, and basically making shite up as they go along.

and i still am mad about everything i read online about how estes and walden are bad guys. they ordered a drone attack against one of the top terrorists in the world. that terrorist hid himself among children. that shite always happens, its called collateral damage. of course they would deny the attack to the media, its not like they intended to kill the kids. baby issa would have grown up to be a terrorist anyways, frick him.
