Frailty - grabbed it randomly out of a Redbox one evening just because MM was in it. One of my favorite thrillers.
Definitely Maybe - Stumbled across it one day on cable. Checked the cast and gave it a shot. I’m not a Rom Com person but thoroughly enjoyed this film. It has a ton of heart.

Speaking of random Redbox rentals that’s how I came across the death of Stalin as well. Another awesome comedy

Against the Ice on Netflix.
Several game of thrones actors, but not that type of movie. Warning though, it’s a pretty slow burn. If you require comic movie pace and entertainment, you’ll hate it.

Number of years ago, I was wandering about Walmart while the wife was shopping. I stopped by the bargain dvd bin. As flipping through the pile, I found one with Antonio Banderas on the front. I had seen The Mask of Zorro and interview with the Vampire, so I knew who Banderas was, but I had never heard of The Thirteenth Warrior. Bought it and loved it.
As an aside, while watching the first time, I kept thinking I knew this story. Then I realized this is The Eaters of The Dead, by Michael Crichton, which I had read a several years before I found the movie.

Wet Hot American Summer.
I used to really like the tv show Ed (bowling alley lawyer, not horse) and Michael Ian Black was hilarious in it. I see Wet Hot American Summer and he's in it along with a few other familiar faces. This is back when I had a blockbuster deal where I had unlimited rentals per month or something like that, so I was consistently watching random shite. Had no idea what I was going to see and could not stop laughing.

Found it in a Redbox machine one night and decided to check it out. Was very surprised!

when i was at LSU, I would hit up the Essen Lane 6 for some indie films all the time.
One day, I decided to go into a film without knowing anything about it. It was little indie called "Bottle Rocket". I was so mesmerized by it i went back the next day to make sure it was as good as i thought.

Angel-A
It's pretty pretentious, and French, but I was running out of options on Netflix circa 2008 and had it sent.

Grandma's Boy - was working at movie theater at the time and you'll give tons of movies a chance since they're free. Never thought it would be become one of my favorites

The Salton Sea. Went to blockbuster and asked for one of the clerks to recommend a movie. That was what they recommended. One of the best recommendations, had no clue what it was about until I watched it.
Edit: The Tao of Steve as well.
