Bottle Shock. Nice little movie about the first blind tasting between French and California wines. Chris Pine, Bill Pullman, and the late, great Alan Rickman.

My roommate in law school rented this movie around 2008/2009. Something made me think about it a few months ago, and for the life of me I could not think of the name or remember any of the actors just the story. Thanks for jogging the memory

This might be my all-time favorite movie. Top 5 without a doubt.

Great movie that is tense as hell. The last 20 minutes are pure insanity

I've never been uncomfortable watching a movie around other people until he started pseudofricking her with that "K fried C".

House of Games

Was looking for a rental one night and everything was gone. Grabbed this little gem and wow . . . amazing movie

Another similar story gave me this amazing movie experience:

Lastly, I took a date to see a movie - it wasn't playing so we watched this. To date is top 5 the most fun I think I've ever had watching a movie in a theatre:

This is pretty much how I find most of the things I watch, (though I usually turn it on because I heard about it 20 or more years ago). For something I'd never heard of, The Killing of a Sacred Deer stands out among the recent ones

I happened upon Steven Spielberg's "Duel" in late night on cable while flipping channels as a youngster on New Year's Eve, back in the day.

Enjoyed this one. Added bonus - Barry Keoghan is in it.

(or maybe I just like Melissa George)

But seriously, no clue. Maybe Netflix knew I liked Melissa George with their recommendations back then. Netflix stalked you.

Two great ni - I mean, picks.

The Nice Guys.

Stumbled on it on Amazon or HBO, can't even remember where. Hadn't laughed that hard at a movie in a while.

One Crazy Summer with John Cusack. Movie apparently came out when I was in high school. First time watching it was with my children when they were about 11-12 years old. Ran across it on some streaming service and the kids thought it was the funniest thing ever at the time.

The Game is still probably my greatest movie theater experience of all time.

I think I cut out early from high school one day, and decided to go to the movies. It just happened to be the next movie playing. Didn’t know a single thing about it, or who was in it. I was the only person in the theater, and it was glorious.

“This is where I leave you”. Has Jason Bateman, some SNL ladies, Jane Fonda. Funny comedy that was a dysfunctional family story. Nothing spectacular, just a good watch.

Radio Free Albemuth (story by Philip K Dick)
Excalibur (walked out of some movie I've forgotten and this was just starting on another screen, thought it HAD to be better and stayed through 3 showings)
