No hating on it, just saying they continually improve the graphics and cgi and always outdo themselves.

meh, we are at a bottleneck or will be very soon. cgi can only be so much resolution. It's like the 4K vs 1080p debate. Is 4K better? Yes. Is it some major upgrade from 1080p, no.
"

They are starting to introduce 8k - i've thought "how can it get any better" many times before - and then it gets a whole lot better.

"a whole lot" is pushing it in my opinion.

the first thing i ever watched in HD was the 2008 olympics in China. that was mind boggling. it's gotten better, but not the leaps and bounds from SD to HD.

I was referring to CGI.

Go look at the CGI in Iron Man 1 vs. what you see today - that is a 9 year gap.

One of my friends read all the WOT books and told me it would need to be 14 seasons...how are any actors going to commit to that for that long, plus taking into account how they age over 14 years?? Hell, I feel like a few of the GoT actors are tired of it and it's only going to have 8 seasons total.

I've seen a number of book readers saying they wanted 5 more seasons. There's no way they could retain all the actors, writers, crew, etc. Even D&D want to move on. Good thing HBO isn't super greedy and not going to drag this show out as much as possible.

HBO's model is about new shows. New shows = new subscribers. Netflix is like this. New content is necessary for a subscription model.

Oddly enough I'd sign up to watch that.

I am not sure if it would have the holding capacity of GoT though.

By extension, these are reasons Dany shouldn't offer it.

I just don't understand why Dany doesn't get 3 dozen Dothraki on her dragons backs and go kill Cersei in the Red Keep

You posted this in the Middle Ground thread.

Prior to Ep 7, there's no indication that the dragons allow ANYONE but Dany to ride, and there's no indication that more than 1 or 2 could anyway.
Yes, Dany loaded up the entire band from beyond the Wall onto Drogon- but that was the first time we ever see this!

Notice the reply?

Don't think Drogon would be cool with 12 random dothraki on its back

I hate how small they've made Westeros on the show. It's supposed to be like the size of South America but all the Hodors probably think it's Rhode Island.

Yeah, I used to think the travel times were just bitching (and take a moment to consider they left the trips out), but there's been some more blatant events recently.

Dragonstone to beyond Eastwatch is like Charleston to Nantucket, but we're seeing that run being made a good bit in this episode. It's POSSIBLE that the dragons could do it in a day maybe. But by ship (getting the men up there) is another story. You can't tell me that everyone's considering a ceasefire for a month or more, before the actual sit-down.
