for someone to die, wouldn't Thoros have to die?
couldn't Thoros just bring them back?
Not really. The God of Light chooses, not Thoros. Thoros just basically asks for it.
I don't think it's time for Thoros to die simply because we don't know what his purpose is yet.

Definitely Jorah. He got to see his queen one last time. Tyrion gave him the coin. He even looked back at Dany one last time when they were shoving the boat back out to sea. That's the death nail right there.
Agree, and that's not a spoiler, it's simply watching the show and picking up on all the foreshadowing. I will add that Jorah goes down serving his queen by saving Jon's life. Jorah is a really sympathetic character. He was exiled for slave trading but has paid for that many times over and has more than restored his honor.
Here we have a guy who, by my guess, is going to save the man that replaced him and has everything that Jorah wants. Jon had Jorah's father's respect. Jon got Jorah's sword from his father. Jon is even going to get the girl that Jorah loves and would die for.

Is there some significance to them finding and bringing Gendry back with them besides that he can fight?
pretty sure the only reason they brought Gendry back was to satisfy their audience
Davos with the "I thought you might still be rowing" line was a direct shout out to the internet memes

anyone else think Sam's story is horribly done this season? they literally sent him to the citadel so that he could function as a fat deus ex machina a few times and then sent him on his way. trash writing
He's good that steeling though.
On a side note what's the deal at winterfell? Robbett Glover declared absolute loyalty to Jon. Now he wants Sansa as queen. Treasonous? Royce is always been suspicious at LF. Now he's hanging out and listening to baelish.
And why is people getting on Arya? She's just calling out Sansa as it is.

Eh that one isnt so far fetched. I mean we knew drogon was not gonna eat/roast Jon.
And I don't think its like Jon to run in fear from it.
What else is left? Jon touching the dragon, or they just stare at each other for a while and then leave?

If they just did that curing Jorah scene for him to show up and die five seconds later I'm going to be disappointed.

Someone posted some screen caps on page 54. There is one of Gendry swinging his hammer and he's got a buzz cut and no facial hair. Here is a picture of someone with more hair on his head and face swinging the hammer.

Gendry is going to have to get to Winterfell and make her a chick again.

So now that we know the dragon didn't roar at Jon in anger, can we now revisit the question of whether Jon bent the knee?

They knew Ned wouldn't directly harm the baby or Lyanna, but he would remove Jon's birth right and likely turn them over to Robert. Whether they waited a couple of minutes or not, that fight was going down regardless.
Removing his birthright and then turning them over to Robert would most definitely directly harm Jon. Because Robert would've killed Jon for being a targaryen.

I doubt Gendry bites it. I have a feeling his smithing will come in handy down the line. Plus, if they were going to kill him off we would have had more screen time with him, like say Beric, Thoros and the Hound.
All three of them could die

That dude needs a ban. His shite was word for word how it went down. Talking about petting Drogon like a puppy.
Nawww bullshite.
I myself posted something along the lines of "If that is Jon that Drogon is bitching at, they cut the scene before he sniffs him or licks his cheek."
A dragon's reaction to Jon has been crackpotted for years, way before R+L=J was confirmed. it wasn't a leap at all to guess that was gonna happen.
Almost as much of a nod to the fans as Davos's rowing comment.

Clearly shows both of them have it. Gman once and the hound once. Go back a few pages and look at the screenshot
Edit: atl got it right there ^^^^

I don't believe he did yet. But that does not make him an enemy of dany. Dragons seem to be able to differentiate who they need to kill vs who not to kill.
The dragon was just chillin by the defeated lannister army, not killing them even though they were currently enemies.
The 2 smaller ones didn't eat tyrion when he met them, and dany was not even there.

Sure, but alpha af Jon telling her he didn't need her permission to go North answers it soundly.

couldn't just let his story end by floating around in a boat, so Davos heads back to flea bottom, grab him and his hammer up, head beyond the wall with the Mag7, get killed in battle and have the hound wield his hammer the rest of the series which would be awesome
