Did they actually show his burnt hand? I need visual proof of this.

I've always wondered what the significance is to Jons burnt hand. He's always flexing it or thinking about it. Got to be something to it for GRRM to mention it so much

They didn't show it. But he burnt is hand badly. To that there is no doubt. They've not made as big a deal about it on the show however

Viserys was a true Targ.

Targs are NOT immune to fire/heat

Except for that giant-assed pole Wunn Wunn was cleaning house with. One end of it was on fire.

Which was a continuity error.

What if they try to burn him, but he rises from the ashes unburnt, as a true Dragon would.

We have discussed the idea of dragons in other locations with the hidden cache of eggs on Dragonstone as well as the fabled Ice Dragon. Couldn't Jon be the Ice Dragon? Ice=Stark and Dragon=Targaryen. I'm sure we've discussed this before, but it just kind of clicked for me.

I don't think so. The zombies don't seem to banish heat like the WW's do and all Wun Wun fought against was zombies (really surprised there are no gifs of him stomping those guys to paste yet).

I'm not sure I have ever been as drawn in to an episode of a TV show as I was last night. I still hold them accountable for the shitty decisions they have made this season, but D&D just put out a freaking masterpiece.

I posted this in the Middle Ground thread (I didn't post it here because I know I'll probably get blasted ), but I think D&D's decision to kill off Barristan turned out to be kind of a good way to "grease the wheels" for Tyrion's accelerated meeting with Dany. Tyrion's main defensive argument to Dany when she asks him why she should kill him was that didn't have and adviser, especially one familar with the current state of affair in Westeros. If Barristan had still been alive, then she wouldn't currently be in need of a Westerosie adviser.

Now I was as upset as most readers were with his death when it happened. But I just think after seeing the Tyrion/Dany scenes, his death actually helped their scenes.

Jon's hand was also badly burned when he killed the white walker at Castle Black.

Seems like just a general description. It doesn't say he blistered her skin.

She gets all fricked up and can barely climb off of him later and her skin is described as pink and blistered
Got a link for that? The incident with the egg and the bathwater seem to contradict the "one time only" statement.

When watching the Tyrion/Dany scenes I really got the feeling that Dany was amused and intrigued by Tyrion. Tyrion laid out the truth when he spoke with her and did not give a shite about what happened to him. He went so far as saying she had to prove herself worthy to him. I sensed a growing amount of respect for Tyrion from Dany, kind of how when Tyrion and Varys speak to each other you feel the undercurrent of respect for each others wits, a verbal jousting of two masters, so to speak.

Oh, and it only took this many seasons to finally make scenes with Dany interesting.

Hasn't GRRM come out and said that Targs are not all immune to fire, and that the whole Dany thing was just a really magical event?

And you don't think Jon rising from the dead would be magical whether fire was involved or not?

They absolutely nailed that scene. Tyrion and Dany are going to make the world get on their knees and suck some BIC (Big Imp Cock)

No doubt. From the moment Tyrion walked out of the "locker room" at the fighting pit telling her he was the gift like he didn't GAS, you could see the look in her eyes of "who the hell is this pimp arse imp". And then she immediately puts him to the test to see how clever he was about his advise on Jorah, to which Tyrion almost made her cry because of his pulling on her heart strings. There alliance was kicked off as well as it could have been. Normally I would rolled my eyes that Dany was so quick to make Tyrion an adviser, but Tyrion/Peter made it almost unbelievable if she hadn't had made him her adviser that quickly. Both actors nailed those scenes.
