I have to say that not remembering Bronn's name is pretty bad, as is "targreareans" or whatever that was.

Bunch of slack-jawed degenerates in that thread.

I love reading that thread, but it takes all of the restraint I can muster to not try and correct some of their ignorance. But the hodor thread today has been solid gold.

As for the my thoughts on this episode..
Yesterday was my birthday and this episode was BY FAR the best present I received. Start to finish, it was so good.

Tyrion is a pimp arse imp, and Dany knows what's up.

And then she immediately puts him to the test to see how clever he was about his advise on Jorah, to which Tyrion almost made her cry because of his pulling on her heart strings.
Of course, they also had Stannis tell his daughter that she was cured, so who knows?

They absolutely nailed that scene. Tyrion and Dany are going to make the world get on their knees and suck some BIC (Big Imp Cock)
D&D need a lot of credit here. That dialogue was fantastic and they had literally no source material to pull from in this instance. Bravo!

Just gonna leave this scene full of crunchy goodness right here...

speaking of Hodors, I like reading Andy Greenwald's recaps, but damn, dude. If you want to truly analyze what is going on, you need to read the books. Of course Arya's journey doesn't seem relevant since the whole backstory of the Faceless Men and the settlement of Braavos hasn't been told in the show. Again, that fact that Essos doesn't seem to be plagued by the White Walkers doesn't make a whole lot of sense until you remember Bran's fever dream from the first book where he sees the world entire from the Dragon's hatching in Asshai on one pole and looks into the heart of Winter on the opposite pole. Also, it irritates me when he doesn't get why only one book is called the Game of Thrones. The whole series is called A song of Ice and Fire.
I get why he is not reading the books, but if he really is so into the show to want to analyze it at its deepest level, I just don't understand why one refuses to actually read the whole backstory.

I like a lot of the changes that D&D have made. They really needed to hurry up and get Tyrion & Dany together (why GRRM hasn't already done this in the book is beyond me). I also like that they substituted Sansa for Jayne (I hated seeing Sansa go through some of that stuff, but I think it is far more important that she be in the North at this point in the story). And them sending Jon to Hardhome and have that battle was awesome.

D&D had to make the changes with Tyrion/Barristan/Jorah all because Dinklage refuses to ride a pig.

Amen. At this point, the show is doing what the book SHOULD have done a long time ago. Connect people and move shite along. This season has made the last 2 books look like dog shite. For the most part, (some things notwithstanding) the movement in the show and the changes are a breath of fresh air.
