So in your mind, a twist has to be something that the writers did not allude to whatsoever previously in the plot? You don’t think the end of the Sixth Sense was a twist? The evidence was there if you were paying attention.
Never said anything of the sort. I’ve seen “maesters” complaining that the writing after the books is too predictable and I’ve seen people argue that it’s too misleading. It’s odd to me that there isn’t a consensus on why the show sucks on your side

She's fricked because she sucks at strategy
Because the person advising her sucks at strategy (Tyrion)
Dany wanted to end this last season and just take King's Landing by force which in war is how you do things. But no Tyrion had his own plans which ended up being one blunder after another. Nothing Tyrion has suggested has worked the last 2 seasons. Civilians are going to die in war it is just part of it. Tyrion's plans in season 7 and 8 were awful. If I didn't know any better I would think he wants Cersei to stay in power his ideas are so bad.

I kinda am too. I read all the spoilers for Endgame
I’m trying to avoid them for GOT, but I did see one this morning that confirms something I have thought going back to season 7

When you get Ned's death either in the books or show for the first time, you are shocked. It makes sense because it aligns with Joffrey's character, but it's still not something most people expected because we are trained as consumers to believe the good guys always win. The Red Wedding was slightly less shocking because by then most people understood that GOT was different. But it wasn't done for the sake of itself. It was essential to move the plot forward.
That's my issue with DD. They've admittedly made no attempt to build this around the characters and plot. Their central focus is the consumer and getting a specific response from them.
I swear if the series actually ends like this, some of the seals around here would applaud it since they’d “never see it coming”.

The whole Jaime and Brienne thing just felt REALLY awkward and forced. I get that she's been in love with him forever, but he never has.
I mean he jumped into a Bear pit for her. This seems like its been foreshadowed for a very long time.

Yeah, but that hasn't been foreshadowed in the show like it was in that film.

While I understand Cersei could have attacked them at the end, she is wanting Dany to overreact so people think she's the Mad Queen.
Yeah, but the last part requires Dany to burn the Red Keep or King's Landing, which puts her in danger of being dead.
I have to keep harping on this fact; Cersei blew up the the Westeros Vatican and used its aftermath to become Queen. That's quite impressive and tells us something about Westeros and its population.
It's obvious that the population is either easily controlled or stupid. Which means we have to ask WHY there was no slaughter; she could have fed them any line of bull and they almost certainly go with it to get on with their lives.
Answer: Cersei knows that Dany is a horrible strategist and not too charismatic and Jon Snow is a bigger threat as a leader.

"One dragon in recorded history has been brought down from the air by a projectile, and it was a one in a million shot. A mature dragon in the air is virtually invulnerable"

While about half of them complain about how it doesn't fit with the theories and foreshadowing.

Was shot in the eye.
A scorpion bolt would bounce off of a book dragon.
But they changed that obviously for the show. So that is whatever. What I don't get is why Cersei didn't just rain down those things on Danny and her small group of unsullied outside of King's Landing (which apparently is a new King's Landing).

Doubt they can shoot at too high of an angle, and there should be no way for them to be able to swing around quickly to get a bead on a moving target.

Apparently they're accurate enough to hit multiple follow-up shots on a moving target hundreds of feet in the air from a moving boat.
They definitely are accurate...and they have a mess of them as well. I couldn't find a shot of them on top of the wall at King's Landing...but the tails of the weapons appear to be too long to shot vertically.
Coming in from above the clouds and dive-bombing (stuka style) may present an angle that the weapons can't hit.

It's now summer and a desert just outside the walls.

Well that and King's Landing was surrounded by hills in previous shots. Now there is some flat desert area.
These dudes just don't give a shite at all.

Knowing these writers it will be 1000 dragons Jon has pulled out of his arse.
Maybe Bran wargs into 1M crows and we relive Hitchocks "Birds" in the narrow sea.

still waiting for Bran to warg into Cersei and walk her out of a window. any day now.

With how overpowered projectiles are in this show Cersie could have taken out a dragon and a Targaryen in the last scene.

Is the episode really titled the last of the Starks?

Have we talked about how there are still Dothraki alive?
What the shite was that spectacle I watched last week?
Did I miss something and half hid somewhere?
