All of those “real” northern women will like Tormund better than the stuck-up chicks of Winterfell.
Oh wait. There are no real women left in the North because Tormund witnessed the Night King literally murder them all. I guess he just forgot.

Is Tyrion even conflicted about that? Seems like he knew the answer but he was afraid to say
It’s the difference between knowing and seeing the reality of it unfold before your very eyes.

The first 20 minutes felt like the end of a John Hughes 80's flick. So much cringe and a terrible tone setter. Everything seemed so incoherent and pieced together in the most anticlimactic way possible.
Reminded me of the beginning of ROTK with the "hail the victorious dead" at Edoras after Helms Deep, except not as good.

Yea, Jon go hug your wolf bye for christ sakes. That was the saddest part of the episode.
They post production inserted ghost into this episode after fan backlash last week when people were bitching about ghost possibly dying and them not showing his death on screen. The actors re recorded tracks and their voices were dubbed over the original shot footage, Ghost couldn't interact with them because they didn't have the green screen footage to make that happen.
It's the only way this makes sense.

I mean, I suppose he means the free folk women he’s taking back with him.

I guess you didn't see the sarcasm dripping in my post. It's cool tho.

Just wanted to drop in to say Jon’s opening speech was very well done.

Like Dany forgot about Euron.

the sex scene makes the entire season trash?
There's a finite ending to the story that they have to wind down in 6 episodes.
My contention with this board is that they've already made up their minds. No matter what happens they will bitch and moan.
I read someone complain about the dragon getting killed. If the dragon didn't die, then they'd be bitching about how predictable it was that they lived.
People are latching onto other's perspective of the series and griping for no reason instead of just enjoying the last episodes and the conclusion of the story.
It's all about context. I would love to have a board where we can all calmly explain our complaints.
The biggest division people have is this:
A battle between what the show was and the rules/lore that was established (seasons 1-5) vs what the show has currently become for the sake of appealing to a wider audience and having budget constraints (6-8).
I cant put it more clearly than that.
If you take GOT as just a TV show like any other, then you'll probably get the maximum enjoyment out of it.
If your holding it to the same standards it set for itself in the initial seasons, then your going to be disappointed because the show is betraying its own lore, consequences, and even character relationships to a certain degree.
They are doing things this season purely for the sake of drama, not because they make sense within the narrative. Again, this also depends on expectations.
A general outline I have for this show:
Cinematography 30%
Acting 30%
Story 40%
That's just a broad spectrum of how I look at this show. I value the story and logic within more that visual spectacle. I realize a show has to be fun but to me and others the narrative has declined.

I thought it was terrible. Who was he talking to, and the way he was talking didn’t sound like Jon

I’ll watch till the show ends (unless they kill off Jon, then I’m done) but I’m not going to sit here and act like Dumb and Dumber have done a good job this season. Or really since they passed the books. Not all their fault because the fat frick totally screwed every fan of this series, but they’ve done a pretty bad job at wrapping this up.
