Damn
Notice at the end of that gif, there's leaves there. A branch.
That camera is where Arya leapt from.

Breaking news: Plot to kill drunk alcoholic king by getting them drunk succeeds. He could have very well not drank anymore and still got killed by a fricking boar lmao

Dany and Jon utilized their dragons in such a bizarre, if not downright useless fashion.
2. Didn't like the tonal shift from mass pandemonium outside the castle to slow paced tension Resident Evil inside the castle.
3. 99.9% of the castle dies but magically almost all the major characters live? They really should have had 2-3 more major characters go throughout the episode.
4. Arya killing the Night King is fine, but "omg I jumped out and stabbed you" is such a let down in how it happened.
This all can be summed up as stop fricking criticizing and nit picking every fricking movie or scene. Watch the damn show and let it keep you engaged. I tried at the beginning by saying the dothraki went too far away but said "nope, not gonna do this" and let myself enjoy it.

That pissed me off more then anything. Typical plot armor. Everytime they showed them they were all being completely overwhelmed, yet they managed to hold out for several minutes.

I loved the episode, but this really should have been the series finale. Like what else is next? It feels like the ending of ROTK the book with the Scouring of the shire. The ring and Sauron (the main enemy of the story) are destroyed, so what's next? Who cares about what's next? The NK was what this entire show was building up to, but there's still three episodes left. There doesn't need to be that much falling action.

huge pacing misstep
Nope. Brilliant. It redirected us and gave our emotions a different effect and allowed us to rekindle the savagery of the constant brutality of the war outside. Otherwise it's just bang, bang, bang with no change in tone or pace

that's exactly what it is. Martin has said multiple times that it's his favorite section of the series and that it's what he was shooting for

He didn't do much in the Battle of the Bastards, either, but he got all the credit.
You mean besides killing nearly 100 guys single handedly right

It was clear they were setting up the cool visual once the akrahs were lit. I said it out loud, chuckling
So stupid in terms of plot

Well, there’s the whole war for the throne thing that they kind of have to deal with

Their whole battle strategy was straight up stupid. Yes why don’t you send your entire calvary straight at enemy that you can’t see and doesn’t fear you at all while all of them are holding melee weapons instead of range weapons. Mongols 2.0 my arse.
Also only firing the catapults once. Also Dany being a dumbass and landing Drogon.

Which is never going to end, we will just get what happens from these next battle/battles.

Even if I wasn't the biggest fan, I can't take anything away from the opening of the episode. The tension building is phenomenal. The music is perfect. Ramin GOAT. When the Dothraki charged and the flames went out, I had chills.

Yiiiiikes that was NOT my favorite section of the books. I loved it when I was reading ROTK but I knew that would never transfer well on film. It was too anti-climactic. That's why I had no problem with it being cut from the films.
