lot of fan service stuff we knew would come like Jon riding a dragon

How can you call that fan service?

Only Taragaryens can control dragons and this showed that Jon can too. Jon has to ride a dragon at some point if he was gonna ride one in battle anyway. This was necessary, not “fan service”.

D/D are wasting budget and sacrificing story to give bigger battles, monsters, and dragons.
And based on the whining flatheads posting in this thread, that has been a wise investment. The "public" spoke, and they've delivered.

Honestly, this show has given me some of the best entertainment I've ever received. I really don't mind if it spends the rest of its days torturing the idiots and pseudo-intellectuals. The disappointment trolls (or whatever you call that) are annoying, but it's worth it to see the truly let down lose their minds over incest and dragon stuff.

That whole meeting of the houses pissed me off. The selfishness is unreal.

I think its the opposite. It's probably about as realistic as it gets. I think that's the point. The elites are so hyperfocused on their power that even staring death in the face, they cannot concede. Think about the title of the original book. Martin doesn't write happy stories.

And the dragons let Tyrion touch them early in season 6. I'm sure that upset a certain book reader here who hates a certain theory.

What are people's thoughts on the Cersei sex scene? Not sure how I feel about that or should read further than her being a drunken hoe.

She needs a daddy for that baby in her belly.

For a moment I just thought she’d just kill Euron. He’s given Cersei everything she needs. I guess she still needs him to be a commander.

She’s obviously playing him in some way.

She fricks everything with a dick in the books. It's pretty spot on for her character.

I think she realizes that she needs allies. As much of an a-hole that Euron is, he is strong and his fleet is strong. She needs strength on her side.

Anyone else notice that Jamie's hair definitely looked a lot more brunette than blonde at the end there (just like they've done with Tyrion)? Good symbolism there

I feel like Jon is going to withhold that information for a while. Doesn't seem like Jon to detract from the ultimate goal of defeating the White Walkers.

There is no putting that cat back in the bag. Autistic Bran won’t allow it.

Well, we know Beric Dondarrion is headed to Winterfell. No idea about any others.

I didn't like Sam delivering the news to Jon. Should have been Bran and he should have used the Weirwood tree to do it.

Could have been a powerful scene. Have Sean Bean come back for a scene and have him kneeling before the Weirwood after coming back from the Tower of Joy and praying to a now deceased Lyana - promising to protect her son, Jon.

Let Jon see this through Bran.

Bran couldn’t. Stairs down to the crypts would have been a bad idea.

The only part of that episode I disliked was hiring Bronn to kill Jaime and Tyrion.

I'm certain that everyone who has read through this thread is very, very, very, very aware of this.
