Sure, for those who were born and raised in that lifestyle. Jon wasn't and dany has been on her own for how long?
And other people in westeros weren't in that lifestyle

Are you sure it wasn't White Dragon?
Did you go to a lot of meetings as a teenager where everyone wore white and burned things?

The discussion of succession also hinted at my theory of tyrion is going to bring democracy to westeros. He said "the nights watch has one way selecting a leader" that way is largely democratic.
Yes! I thought this was huge and no one is really mentioning it post-episode. It will be interesting to see if this becomes Tyrion's big cause post-"War for the Dawn."

And let's not forget that incest has led to some truly horrific Kings. It will be silly if this ends with a nephew/aunt relationship and more inbred children.

meh, this isn't like what European monarchs used to do where they would marry off third or second cousins. This is an aunt and nephew banging it out and the shows universe has been anything but supportive of Jaime and cersei. They are gonna frick and then one of them will find out about jon and it will cause drama for next season
Every major house in Westeros has had some incest. It wasn't brother sister incest but it was cousin to cousin or sometimes uncle to niece. Dany's parents and grand parents were brother and sister.

and im sure that was a big deal in their universe years ago, and was so in the targ household, but i would say that the seven years weve spent in this universe would indicate that it is not very supportive of that kind of lifestyle

I think Viserion was targeted because he actually could have fallen through the lake and kept from burning. If he had hit Drogon, Drogon would have just sat on that rock burning until there was nothing left of him to revive. That's the best explanation I got.
Which fighter jet is the biggest threat...the one on the ground or the one in the air?

they are playing up the mutual admiration & attraction angle now, its a natural progression. once they find out they are blood relatives tough, they'll shut it down
they are beating you on the head with the "jon as messiah" thing anyway...good money on him not making it anyway

Once again cousin cousin marriage is still around. Dany are Jon are also 2nd cousins (once removed). Pretty sure in medieval times cousin cousin marriage wasn't see out of the ordinary especially in small villages. So I doubt the small folk will care.

God damnit.
They're aunt and nephew.

I doubt it. Tyrion brought up Dany's heirs and Dany mentioned she's barren (possibly be wrong). Also Jorah told Jon to pass on Longclaw to his children. I think it's possible they have a kid and Jon dies.

Yes, and there have been some significant negative consequences to that.

In addition to being aunt and nephew, due to the Dany's parents being brother and sister, they're also second cousins once removed. A poster on Reddit posted the explanation for it.

I know this is how Bama fans try to justify their own relationships, but that's just not how the rest of the world is going to look at it.

Also Jorah told Jon to pass on Longclaw to his children.
Why do people think this is significant? Jorah is basically confirming a property transfer made initially by his father. Why wouldn't he tell Jon to pass it down to his children? That's what most people did with those swords.

People believe this is likely foreshadowing that Jon & Dany will make babies

Well like you said it's a pretty obvious thing to do with the sword, so there wouldn't really be a point to putting it in the scene unless they were foreshadowing something.
That mixed with the conversation about Dany having an Aire and their overall romance growing leads me to believe that's where they are headed with it

Says the Ole Miss fan.
But why would what the rest of Westeros thinks about their relationship matter? If one is to be a ruler they can do what they want. Cersei said as much herself.
