No, but you did miss something in the post you're quoting.

right
the magnificent 7 were hacking on them and they just kind of fell...they are zombies dammit. they dont become de-weaponized just because you hit one with a hammer. they should be (and were) almost impossible to "kill"

Some of them had dragon glass weapons this time though. During the fight with the polar bear they struck all kinds of blows and even set it on fire but the bear was still going. The moment Jorah stabbed it with a dragon glass dagger it died.

Exactly. The Hound tried to bash a wight with his war hammer but it didn't do much so he ended up killing it with his dragon glass dagger.

Going off episode 5, did anyone do a search to see how hot a flame would have to be to turn a full human body to ash in like <10 seconds?

Opportunity missed by having killed off Dickon; preventing he and Tormund from meeting.

And how many arrows would each of the 7 have? 80 arrows each times 7 = 560, and that's assuming 100% accurate kill shots. Sure it'd take out a decent amount but wouldn't even have been enough to change the odds of the fight.
But we saw last night that killing the commanders is really what matters. So maybe you could kill some of them and the numbers start to dwindle

At least not JJ pocket presence...big game: run left, run right, underhand toss to closest defender.
could have been worse and pulled a Jeremy Johnson and threw it backwards killing one of his own guys.

I assumed Jon would get the larger of the dragons, because that would be symbolic of him (and his storyline) taking the lead.
Dragons only have one rider at a time though. At by that I don't mean they only carry one person because obviously they don't. Right now Drogon has a bond with Dany and so she's his rider. So unless Dany dies or can't ride anymore I don't see Jon taking Drogon.

Now they'll have to find some kinda way to kill the WW Viserion now. What likely makes the most sense is using Qyburn's cross bow with a dragon glass spear since no one in Westeros is able to naturally sling it like Uncle Rico Favre Elway aka Night King
Just let Bronn be Drogon's tailgunner

This just speaks to my total ignorance, but I never quite understood why the CGI stuff is THAT expensive.
I was in the same boat as you until the Marvel movies started coming out. Sitting through the credits and seeing the huge list of names of people that worked on the CGI for a 2 hour movie puts it into perspective how expensive that aspect of the movie is.

It's hard to find animators who are good (thus salaries are high), it takes a lot people/hours to model (thus the cost is high), it takes a lot of processing power to repeatedly render the scene with minor tweaks (thus you have to pay for IT). Lastly, when you are trying to shove all of the CGI into a TV show's production timeline, which is shorter than a movie's, you have pay for Rush work (this cash).
That is all on top of the normal costs to shoot the scene including crew time, actor salaries, location fees, etc

This is an aunt and nephew banging it out and the shows universe has been anything but supportive of Jaime and cersei. They are gonna frick and then one of them will find out about jon and it will cause drama for next season

They didn't have dragons to burn everyone that disagreed with them like the Targaryens. But Cersei improvised and burned everyone that disagreed with them anyway. I think there's a lot fewer people that care about incestuous royals now vs. 7 years ago.

I'm wondering if they are saving him for S8. I guess they felt like the dragons are more important to the plot at this point.
Posted on 8/21/17 at 1:26 pm to TigerinATL
I think the people around cersei may no longer care, but it seems like the stigma still exists within the common person of westeros
