Really bad episode.

Never liked Danny and now her character's plot is getting at least 3 separate segments?

Danny enslaved and enroute to a retirement home, search/find and stop her from going to retirement home recon duo, and guy I knew for a week please run my nation that I cant control in my stead, discover my enemies, gather intel about the people I love and rule yet know nothing about, and possibly train my chained up dragons during your down time.

I have no problem with disliking her, but you can't complain about a Tyrion/Varys storyline, regardless of whether or not it has a lot to do with Dany. They're always greatness.

Plus I suspect we'll get dragons rescuing her if necessary.

I took it as a not so subtle "girl power" quote since he was killed by Brienne. There's no way that she would have left him alive at the end of last season. She hated his guts for killing Renly and had vowed to kill him.

I really wish they would do something about Jaime's hand. That huge gold thing just sticks out too much and is totally unpractical. He was one of the greatest warriors in the land, you would think that he would have made adjustments by now. If they had to use a hand for a prosthetic, it should have been an iron first sheathed in leather. If would take a lot of binding, so they could have built in a guard over his right forearm. Maybe build in a retractable dagger (ala assassin's creed). Then he shouldn't be carrying a long sword anymore and he should stay away from other two handed weapons (spears, axes, hammers, etc..). He should be carrying a short sword, dagger and maybe adopt some kind of small crossbow. There a lot of ways they could go with it. He just needs to be a threat again. Especially when he goes to kill all the sparrows. I'm guessing they want him to come answer for his "sins" next..

i now remember why i hate reading the M/TV GoT threads. most posters just bitch about how bad this show is.

geez, you guys act like its the worst show on TV, then for 10 months talk about how you cant wait until it comes back only to rip it some more.

just stop watching it and start watching the Voice or something. i thought it was a good first episode. i dont expect every storyline to be tied up in 52 minutes.

I hate knee-jerk hatred, but that was a weak arse season opener. Basically nothing happened.

There is no question that Benioff and Weiss are not that great of story tellers. There may be truth to the rumor they are spinning their wheels those season in an effort to let Martin catch up a bit.

Biggest gripe about the episode

Rewatching the episode.

The fight scene after Sansa gets discovered by the hounds!

After the fight, never see guy with hounds or the killer hounds get killed.

They just disappear!

WTF!?

I thought I had just missed it when I took my Game of Thrones bread out the oven.

Second watch through I was riveted.

Hounds are there. Then the dude with the hounds and the hounds that were just sniffing at Sansa, the ones Theon warned would tear her apart and that freezing to death was better,

Gone. Just poof.

bullshite.
I think they had a scene where someone kills the dogs, but they decided that it would draw way too much heat.

Show a person get brutally murdered? Whatever.

Show someone swing at dogs off screen and have a pained dog yelp? People marching in the streets.

Better they just vanished than resolve it realistically.

This is going to be a graphic question..did Theon's balls get cut off too? I know his dick is cut off, but he might still have something to pee out of. Could he still ejaculate? Or is he basically a eunich now?

What a blue ball episode.

Sweet Jon is about to be resurrected...must wait
Hoping to see exactly what happened with Stannis...lulz
Killer hounds...poof
Nights watch goin to bust the door down and wreck shop...still waiting
Wildlings to save the day...nothing
Dire wolf to save the day...no action
Epic threeway fight on the boat...dumbass turns his back and it never starts
And the worst- Red titty bitch gets naked....bam! your grandma naked

i always figured the big shocking ending of the season was jon's resurrection, but i'm not good at predicting big plot points in GOT

Thats a long time to keep a dead body around. Unless this season happens in the time span of a few days, I dont see it. Maybe another episode or two at most.

And these fricking 'let's overview all of last season' for the first 7 minutes is ridiculous. Are we all that stupid? I hate that in any show. Just start the episode and stop wasting screen time on things we already know.

I think he will be resurrected at the very end of the next episode. Like he opens an eye or they open the door and there is Jon Snow, standing at the door ready to kill.

thanks for posting, forgot that part. Totally forgot the King (Cersei of course) had Littlefinger named Warden of the North.
