D&D, Kit trolling - If I were them I would be playing this up exactly as they are. From here than can go down two paths:

1. Have Kit on next season but only in sporadic flashbacks that tell something important. The next season he is brought back (since everyone thinks it's just more flashbacks).

2. Don't have him on at all next season, but bring him back for flashbacks the next season and end that season with Melissandre resurrecting him.

Or they could, I don't know. Maybe just tell a good story without making every story line about some gotcha trolling stuff. The story is enough to stand on it's own. They've established that both good guys and bad guys and guys from every shade of gray in between can die. Now go tell the story guys.

except the story does have plenty of "gotcha" moments in it

and they are much easier to pull of when they are in 1 guys head and he is writing a book

not so much when you are filming a series

I think theat Stannis' body is brought back to Castle Black at the beginning of next season. Mel will do her thing to try to resurrect "The Prince that was Promised" but it will be Jon that is brought back to life, not Stannis.

I'm the only one? Her entire story line could have been filmed in maybe 3-4 days. I've already read about her being blind. Don't feel like ready anymore it or enjoy watching her not even kill the skinny man.

Top characters of all time for me (that I can think of of the top of my head):

1a. Huck Finn
1b. Samwise gamgee
1c. Arya stark

Probably my favorite line from all 5 books was the finish to her story line as of now. When she is telling the kindly man about how she killed skinny man. She wore a face of a hideous girl the entire time. So he says she's ready to officially train, but she asks can she not have an ugly face next time (all her life, she has been called ugly and a horse face). And he says something to the effect of "no, next time it will be a pretty face, just like yours."

That was the only time I cried in the books.

It would have been nice for something good to finally happen for her, not go blind.

I think that Mel will sacrifice herself in the forging of Lightbringer, after Jon resurrects. I also think she knows this.

I think you would've hated the Rya storyline no matter what. You're too invested in her

That would make for a fun twist, but I get the feeling from Melissandre that when half of Stannis' armies fled in the night, she realized she was following the wrong person and has now written him off.

Maybe so. But I thought they did a great job for four seasons, just botched this one pretty bad.

But before the season started I figured this to be the worst season yet. Every season got progressively further away from the books and it got to the point that the quality of the show dropped because of that. Imo

I really see no way Jon is finished before his mother's identity is revealed.

I do really wish the situation with Jon was resolved at the end of the season. I don't care if I learn his fate from the books or from the show. I don't want to learn it from people stalking around the set with their camera phone.

So who put Ser Robert Strong on the Kingsguard?

It's fair to accept he is Trant's replacement but I'm pretty sure Tommen and/or Kevan would need to sign off on having an eight foot zombie for a Kingsguard.

Qyburn is still a great employee.

unless they worked out some deal where Kit doesn't get credited until (literally) the moment the episode when he is resurrected airs.

Pretty sure Kevin Spacey was not credited for Se7en to keep his character a secret so it is not farfetched to think GoT would do the same thing.
