That was the only time I cried in the books.
Just kidding.
I think a lot of people made poor beverage choices last night. You can really tell when the threads went sour. I think the Kit Harington interview release was the corridor to the dark side.

It would have been nice for something good to finally happen for her, not go blind.

It's fair to accept he is Trant's replacement but I'm pretty sure Tommen and/or Kevan would need to sign off on having an eight foot zombie for a Kingsguard

This is the first time I've ever waivered on the show
And it's because every other crazy/shitty event in the show was leading somewhere, it created a "OH shite I WONDER HOW THIS EFFECTS (insert someone)...killing snow doesn't lead anywhere. It would be a total shock factor move with no real plot value
You would then have no vested interest to anything at the wall, which is the most important storyline going on right now and you make hours of background and hints completely worthless

Jon snow dying right there would be shark jumping
For the book or the show

It leads everywhere. It's literally the only way to advance his story. He's too honorable like Ned. Mel is there, now his watch has ended. He can be resurrected and lead the Wildlings to overtake Winterfell. Him dying was the only way he could go anywhere from a character standpoint.

Him STAYING dead leads nowhere

Well be clear the first time!

you have known this was coming for a long time right?
You are acting like it was all a surprise.

i joked last night that it wouldnt surprise me if the show made Ramsay Azor Ahai. But hell, lets look at Show Ramsays accomplishments already:
-Captured Theon Greyjoy, Prince of the Iron Isles
-Defense of the Dreadfort from the Ironborn, while shirtless and with only a few good men and some dogs
-Captured Winterfell, Ancient seat of House Stark
-Captured Moat Cailin, Ancient Fortress build thousands of years ago by the Children of the Forest
-Legitimized by Warden of the North, Roose Bolton
-Married to Sansa Stark, only living Stark woman in Westeros
-Successful infiltration of the Baratheon Host to cripple supply lines
-Defense of Winterfell from the Baratheon army "infused with the power of King's blood"
Is their anyone better to lead the fight vs the others, objectively speaking? Ramsay could probably convince the Night's King to join the Boltons at this point
theres actually a theory that the Boltons are descendents of the Others and that Roose is immortal, the Bolt On theory

I'm talking about if he stayed dead, which literally no reader believes is the case
Which kit and the producers are trying way to hard to make us believe

How many dead Baratheons were laying in the field around him and his two buddies? Like 10 or 15? Say what you will about the crazy bastard, but he loves a good fight.

One random observation from last night that was well done I thought:
During the stabbing, everybody said "For The Watch", and probably meant it. Everybody except for Alliser... I loved the sarcasm that S.O.B laid down while saying it, and really meaning, "I just straight hate your arse Snow"

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So why did you kill Jon Snow?
GEORGE R.R. MARTIN: Oh, you think he’s dead, do you?
EW- Well, I guess. Yes. That’s how I took it. The way it was written, it sounded like he was mortally wounded – and, you know, it’s you!
GRRM- Well. I’m not going to address whether he’s dead or not. But as to why – didn’t you think the text established why they would want to assassinate him?
They be trollin hard

Not to mention the whole "who is Jon snows parents" was the entire reason they got to do the show in the first place
