I keep seeing debates over whether it was the pie or the wine, but could it have been the fork that Margary used to feed him the pie?

Also, Sansa has to be in on it. Right after Joffrey cuts the pie she is ready to leave. Why wouldn't she have wanted to leave when the midgets were making fun of Ned's death? She just sits there zoning out. But when it's time for pie, all of a sudden she is ready to go.

Two things make me wonder:

1) The drunk fool ... the show made a big point of him giving Sansa the necklace ... right after Lady Tyrell was making a big deal of finding the right necklace for Marjorie (sp?) for the wedding.

2) Brienne ... that's the big blonde gal, right? ... didn't she pledge herself to Lady Stark? Wouldn't she want revenge?

Maybe because she doesn't want Joffrey to know its pissing her off? She doesn't want him to know he's getting to her (even though it's obvious)

Good point. Her saving his life at the birthday celebration could've been grounds for him poisoning King Doucherey.

Nah, the fool is definitely in on it and his actions very clearly reveal she ISNT in on it.

Basically, the events leading up to the poisoning mean both Sansa AND the fool can't both be in on it, and because it seems clear the fool is that rules Sansa out.

Wait.....didn't the guy say "Come with me if you want to live." ??

I don't think Sansa was in on it....but knew it was a good time to get the hell out.

True. But she's way too by the book and proper to poison a king I think. She also likes Margaery and wanted her to be a successful queen.

Right - and I tossed out (and I'm sure others have) a contact poison type of thing. Again, he handled the presents, he ate food and drank wine. He was hand fed by Marjorey who could have poisoned the food directly, or the fork could have been poisoned (and not sure if she fed him from her fork - anyone could have delivered a poisoned fork - could have been unwitting) - and ditto for the goblet - not sure if he drank from the gift goblet or if that was just in the place setting - staff could have poisoned the goblet itself and the source of the wine is immaterial (or opportunistic for someone seeking to frame Tyrion, which the teaser for next week suggests - honestly, if Tyrion did it and got caught for it, I suspect he would just fess up, say he did it for the realm and take his medicine like a man - it appears he's trying to figure out who framed him next week, and while he was capable of killing Joffrey, perhaps even willing, it would be a little too convenient at this point.)

Not necessarily - if Sansa is involved, in any way, she might just be resigned to the fact that everyone will know, and her father is avenged - I'm not sure that is in her, but it is a real possibility - however, it was crystal clear that the fool knows and also knows she will be blamed, either directly or through Tyrion - and he's trying to repay her kindness.

This doesn't even mean the fool is in on it, necessarily, but merely has knowledge.

But, generally, I agree - his actions confirm he knows about it - and probably some of the details, even if he's not actually involved in the conspiracy, and that Sansa likely doesn't know anything at all is going to happen. That makes a little more sense, based on what we saw.

I took him telling her "Come with me if you want to make it out of here alive" as she didn't know what was going on and he did, and was trying to help her flee before all hell broke loose.

I saw the last post in the reader thread before I clicked on this one was Antonio Moss, so he is a reader.

Or maybe he knows she poisoned Joff and that she was ready to accept her fate for killing him, but he wants to save her instead b/c she saved him.

Klarvin is a reader, the fact that he's pretending not to be while still posting predictions in this thread might be the douchiest thing I've ever seen.

Once again, admins please ban Roger Klarvin.
