it should've been jon snow as azor ahai wielding lightbringer instead of arya stark flying through the air

So sad. D&D deserve the “shame” treatment that Cersei got

You don't "Jump The Shark" with 3 episodes left in a season.

IIRC correctly alot of people on this board (and the rest of the internet to be fair) were defending this episode, sorta in denial of how shitty it was.
You are correct.
But it was at THIS moment where the show officially lost me. I had defended it throughout season five, laughed at the haters after the solid sixth season, and event defended the show's quick pace in season seven. The first two episodes of season eight didn't bother me, but that third episode - wrapping up an entire series' worth of development in one 90-minute episode of TV - completely ruined the show for me.

They did as good as they possibly could have with the extremely shitty scripts that D&D gave them.

Remember when episode 2 happened and some of us knew the season was doomed but the majority of the braindead retards on here thought it was EPIC and no way D&D would let us down. I remember
Ole Fun Bunch loved him some season 8.

It still amazes me how many people survived that battle. Winterfell was over run they all should have been dead
That episode totally lost me. I remember people on here trying to say how amazing it was until the show ended then everyone agreed it was shite

I'm glad I read spoilers and knew it was shite. It had to be awful going into this hoping for the best and then get presented with this garbage.

The show died with Tywin Lannister.

Episode two was the only good episode of the final season. It was great. The rest hot crap
This.
What pissed me off was that from the beginning to the end NOTHING MEANT ANYTHING.

Tywin is by far the GOAT of the show

GOT jumped the stark on Arya long before season 7, they combined 3 characters from the book and made her into a super character.
Season 4 was the great turn away from the story line and it went down hill from there quick.
Kat should have stayed in the TV series like in the book.
Danny should have been killed by a random arrow fired at her by an archer as hinted at for years in the show.
Jon should have gotten the sword spoke of in the book and show and killed the night king.
Jamie should have killed his sister, as hinted at a long time.
Tyrion should have been the third dragon rider.
Long list of what should have been left in the story arc.

I feel relatively confident GRRM planned for Dany to burn down King's Landing. I don't think it will be the retardedness of the show where the bells set her off, but will be built up for two+ books, not two episodes. It just seems like something he would do.

It jumped the shark at the battle of the bastards. Sansa couldn’t get word over to Jon?
Posted on 4/29/20 at 4:06 pm to Dire Wolf
As awesome of a battle scene as that was, it's highlighted by a huge eye sore of how badly they wasted a god damned GIANT.
