Maybe you're not familiar with the concept of a parody or the Scary Movie series in general but they're pretty much meant to rip off every movie in existence. I can assure you the similarities were on purpose.

I'm very familiar with the concept of a parody, and Scary Movie doesn't qualify. It's simply a rip off and just blindly steals shite from it's source material. A parody points out how ridiculous the premises to your favorite movies are, but this doesn't do any of that.

Any idiot could write a _____ Movie. It's just as simple as them watching fricking movie trailers, stealing the direct scene from the movie, and someone gets kicked in the nuts instead. That's not a parody. Parodies are movies like Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Quest for the Holy Grail, Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz. Watch those if you want to know what a parody should look like.

The only movie I think that qualifies as a legitimate parody that these guys have done is "Not Another Teen Movie". That one was a bit more clever and it didn't just blindly rip everything off (although it did it's fair share of that too). It paid homage and legitimately showed you how ridiculous the high school movie genre was. Granted, I still don't think it's all that great, but hey at least every fricking scene wasn't "directly rip off this scene but he gets kicked in the nuts instead".

Funniest movie ever has to be something thats a once in a lifetime never happen again lighting in a bottle every other cliche.

Thats why the only acceptable answer is Blazing Saddles. Face it, that movie could never be made today in anything close to its current form. Ever. No way. And its made in such a way that its offensive to every demographic, yet no one seems to mind. I've watched it with black guys and they laugh their asses off at the same jokes I do. Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder were perfect.

Airplane, Naked Gun 1 and 2, Blazing Saddles, Step Brothers.

Take your pick.

Two other random ones I can watch over and over are:
Out Cold and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox story.

I'm sorry, but Scary Movie 2 is just awful. Look at this "joke" for instance: LINK

All it did was not only rip this joke off, but it brought nothing new to the table and was the exact same fricking joke: LINK

"Honestly, Dude Where's My Car" should have sued them for plagiarism. It was absolute shite.

And yeah, the Charlie's Angel scene, real fricking original: LINK

Really one of the worst movies ever and anyone who likes it is simply an idiot.

Uh, I don't think the concept of parody has sunk in with you.

Everything's so greeeeen...

And that's the Ethiopian... Shim sham

I got a great corkscrew! ... hey this is a hip crowd.

Occupation?
Stand up philosopher.
O. A bullshite artist!

Boy, when you die at the Palace, you really die at the Palace.

It's good to be the king.

The lord your God has given you these 15... 10. 10 Commandments for all to obey.

I fricking love that movie.

High Anxiety is actually my favorite Mel Brooks film

I still really recommend Black Dynamite to the OP.

Most movies mentioned here are classics but often seen.

I would also suggest Tucker and Dale vs Evil if he hasn't seen that as well.

Lots of funny movies mentioned but I've gotta give a second vote to the Peter Seller's Pink Panther series.

The hardest I've ever laughed at the theater was easily South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut. There are better movies mentioned here but I guess the timing, mood, THC level all just came together for me that afternoon.

Really hard to narrow it down;

You're good with any Mel Brooks movie.
Pink Panther series with Peter Sellers was pure gold, the scenes with Cato have me in tears.
There's Something About Mary was good.

Depends on what you've not seen recently.
