Lost was one of my top 10 shows I’ve watched and unless Im misremembering it I found that show to be just as slow and nearly every episode for the longest time over the first few seasons just created more questions than answers.

Lost was slower. WAY slower.

BUT it was VERY good at creating cliff hangers and adding them consistently in the story beats.

This show is CLEARLY, blatantly, copying Lost...and that's not a bad thing. I think FROM is trying to pace its major reveals a little than slowly than LOST - more akin to Fringe, where the world slowly opens up every season to a finite conclusion.

I'm enjoying it.

I have been watching this show also. My question is this it seems Victor has this town pretty figured out but is just acting like the weird old dude. Now that that Tabita (RV wife) has escaped the caves with victor why doesn't she tell the sheriff and everyone where the creatures sleep and burn that mofo to the grown. I know there is something else going on in this town but getting rid of the night creatures would definitely help right.

That's assuming they can be killed though. Have we seen any killed yet? I can't remember, but don't think we have.

But even still, it's good information to share with the class and help figure out what is going on and what these things are.

Just finished watching everything in 2 days. What an addicting show.

To address the sharing of information points - I agree that it is bizarre why Donna/Jim/Boyd aren't communicating with one another. However, I totally understand why they wouldn't share that info with the rest of the town. No one knows whether these are visions, whether they're real, whether they're put there by someone trying to help them, or by someone trying to hurt them. If Boyd holds a presser and announces his findings to the town, what do you think will happen? Randos will just start venturing into the woods and dying, trying to find the lighthouse and the torture dungeon to get answers. Real leadership is waiting until you know the entire situation before you start sharing things without knowing what they mean. In that sense, its totally believable that the leaders of the town would keep this stuff to themselves.

Is portrayed by Red Shirt wearing NPC morons

Basically, what I learned in Season 2 is that none of the main characters can trust the judgement of these tards. It’s safer to keep your mouth shout and stay inside at night.

I mean, really, how hard can it be? Just pay attention to any odd hard-leggers and put them in the box before they open the window for some strange.

DEI is strong with this show. The acting is awful. Every scene with the daughter Julie and her mom is terrible.

Just watched the new episode and it’s a good one.
Boyd giving his blood to…I’ll call him Smiley…and seemingly killing it was awesome to see. Curious to see if Smiley is really dead or if he becomes human. Looking at the synopsis of the remaining episodes, it seems like they are going to try what Boyd does again but a new threat happens.

Boyd finally telling people his secrets. Good.

And of course they think he’s crazy. Of all the shite they’ve seen why would they doubt what he’s saying? You’re stuck in a time looped kind of place that is full of magical and scary shite, and there’s monsters that come out at night and terrorize and kill (eat?) people, but you think it’s crazy that someone could be seeing things or have some weird shite in his blood? Gtfo.

I wish we had a better explanation of how the food works. Bc it’s never been a problem before but now it is. And IIRC, all we’ve gotten in the past is a throwaway line about how the food and animals just sort of appear.

Another accidental stabbing? Jeez people.

Why wouldn’t you have the vehicles parked near the house/door? Also, E running out to the van without the keys was super dumb. Hahaa.

Although the way it seems you can simply just walk briskly and not have to deal with the monsters.

I’m confused. Did the chained up dude give it to Boyd to where he didn’t have anymore? I thought he just passed it along to Boyd like he was infected too. Is it like a “tag, you’re it” kinda thing?

The monsters are so confusing too. It’s like they choose when to attack and when not to. They could’ve easily had Boyd but just stood there. Other times they pour through a window or door and kill or walk right up to someone and kill then immediately.

But that was cool what happened to smiley guy monster. Now if I was Boyd I’d be trying to get that shite back in my blood and go hunting for monsters at night.

This was a good episode. We got a major advancement of knowing that the monsters can be killed or at least attacked. Also got some progress of people finally sharing some info with each other and working together for a change. Also got a bit of a Kenny/Boyd resolution as well. And some info/history about Kristi’s crackhead girlfriend.

I'd say this was a pretty big step forward in the series.

The villains can be killed.

Still a long ways away from finding out what/who they are or where they come from.

Or maybe "smily" will come back to life and be able to explain things.

That would be the best outcome honestly. The chained up dude said there was something much worse than the monsters.

I think something will definitely happen with the Smiley monster. They didn't leave him in the middle of the road and have that seen of Boyd and Kenny watching him for no reason.

I'm very curious where the show goes from here. Did Boyd actually pass along the curse or whatever it was? If he didn't then my assumption would be Ellis will have it as well. If he did pass it to the monster, is it just a one and done thing?

Also curious if we get an ending to the jewelry box, I thought that box was going to stop playing music and some shite was really gonna go down. Didn't chain dude say something about "when the music stops, they come."

My theory - they now know how to kill (or transform) the monsters and start establishing some form of control again. Maybe by taking Smily Boy’s blood and weaponizing it. The people seem to have the upper hand. All is well.

The season ends with a scene of the music box playing, then the music stops

This was definitely one of the best episodes. Glad ole smiley boy bit the dust. His big ole head and that grill was getting to the wife and I.

Enjoyed this episode. Curious to see what happens to Smiley when the sun comes up. So the blood thing can’t just be a one hitter, can it? I’m guessing one of two things happens, either Smiley stays dead and they drain his “blood” to weaponize it or the sun comes up and he sits up and is human. Most of the group wants to kill him but he starts offering up info on the monsters and the town.

Have we seen the black eyed kids recently? Maybe the writers forgot they introduced them and the fat ghost kid.

It was funny how the other creatures just looked at Smiley face and said sorry for your luck as he was having a full blown seizure. I see light bulbs coming on as the communication between people is becoming better.

This was maybe my favorite episode this season. I’m gonna just echo Coco for a minute and say that if they just pushed each episode to 50-52 minutes I think the shows would flow better.

We’re basically getting network tv length episodes which is fine if you’re doing a ton of episodes but leaves you a bit short on story when you only do 10. We have to move past the damn Boyd/Kenny/Sara shite already.

I predict that we get some kind of view of who is on the phone by the end of this season, get past the monsters, and discover the next tier of villain/expand upon the lighthouse/torture room element of the show.

Unless he comes back as a human when the sun comes up, I doubt it happens but it would open up another level if he did.
