I’ve wondered if there will be comparisons between that story (whatever it is) and what’s happening. Similar to how Stranger Things parallels D&D.

I bailed about five episodes into season 2. It just had too many different mysteries going, nothing really being answered. It felt like Lost. Just no reward for hanging in there.

Where are you guys seeing the previews at? I see one shitty cam on YouTube, but where other than that?

I see them at the end of the episodes. I have the MGM cable channels though, so I watch the show on my DVR (or on demand before they air).

Makes sense! I stream through the app and they’re not attached to the end of the episode

Yeah, it's very much like Lost in that regard. It's not for everyone, and that's totally fine. I get how annoying it can be for those who want to see some kind of resolution.

Season 2 Episode 8
Things are really starting to crescendo now. Several of the storylines are coming together. Conspiracy theory Jim is really pissing me off. Also, even though characters are finally opening up about their experiences, you would think people would drop the whole "I'm in disbelief and don't believe that could be real." At this point, why would anyone second guess what others claim they are experiencing?

I made that point a week or two ago, and agree completely.
I haven't watched the episode yet, but I saw on my guide last night that the whole block for the episode was only like 45 minutes long, which means that if you strip away the 1 minute or so recap, 2 minute intro credits, 1-2 minute post credits, and any additional filler post-episode, there's only about 37-39 minutes of actual episode. I fricking HATE when cable networks/creators do that shite. They can make episodes as long as they want to, and they make 30-something minute episodes? That's bullshite.

Boyd and Kenny going down into the boiler room had me going. I was waiting for that fricker to pop out
Though I'm glad it didn't, I'm completely fine with suspending disbelief, but that would have been kind of a bummer for me.

I'm so tense every time they visit that place. I'm prepared for the worst every time they crack open that door.
Another thing to note, and I'm not sure it is intentional, I love Victor's character, but it was very odd how this past episode he started slipping into delivering much smoother and coherent lines, and then fall right back into his usual cadence.

Not much happened in last night's episode.
Sure wish Kristi wouldn't have butched up her haircut though.

I just skimmed through the major points of yesterday's episode, and now I'm guessing the cicadas have come from the maggots or worms in the infected blood.

Kenny mentioned his dream going bad once the music box music stopped, but Boyd didn't mention that he has dealt with the music box. You'd think that would have sparked a conversation.

The phone call in Kenny’s dream said:
They touch, they break, they steal.
No one here is free.
Here they come, they come for three,
Unless you stop the melody.
Well, Victor said it’s gonna get cold soon, which means there are seasons now. There goes that theory that there aren’t any. Oh well.
“Elgin almost drowned in his sleep.” So the bathtub was just a dream.
Donna’s face when Sara said they were asking about Nathan was weird. But Randall and Jim need to chill the frick out a little. I don’t buy into Jim and Randall’s theory about being watched and people in on it. But it’s interesting at least.
Kenny not telling Boyd about his dream. Of course.
Boyd not having his gun drawn as he opens the boiler room is one of the dumbest things on the show so far.
At least Kenny is telling them about his dream. And that connects to his arm and the cicadas, and the water with Elgin. I wonder if that ties into the “dreams” that some people see while they’re awake (like Tabitha with the kids, Victor/Ethan and the boy in white, Jade with she soldier, etc.).
I hope we get answers to what happened with Victor’s family and all of that. I can’t imagine a mother leaving her kids for the night in a scenario like that. Like I wonder how long they were there before pulling that shite that for them all killed. And his mother went to save children in the tower? So if we were sharing information, they’d be that much closer with Boyd and Sara seeing a lighthouse.
Of course Randall is fricking things up as usual. I assume his plan is to test the monsters to see if they kill Donna or if she’ll tell them any info before succumbing to the monsters. If they don’t kill her then he knows she’s in on it.
Oh shite. We get a Boyd seeing Abby scene next week.

frick no.
One of the more annoying characters of all time.
Let’s make a character that’s been here for a long time and has tons of valuable information. And they way we will drag out what he knows is just make him an emotional retard that goes “mhhhaaaa ehhhh” and runs away every time someone asks a question.
“Leave him alone”
“Uhhh ma’am people are being fricking torn apart by ghouls. Make this loser answer questions so the adults can solve stuff.”

Yeah, I get why some people are protective of Victor, but he is clearly the best source of information on these things and this place. He's been there for a literal lifetime (at least 40-45 years, if not over 50 depending on how old he really is). I'd honestly love to see a one-off episode that focuses on Victor and his life in the town and how he survived when (seemingly) everyone in town died...that would be a great episode, as long as it's not the finale.
But I don't get why people don't try to get information out of him WYA more than they do. Sure, Jade screaming at him and damn near getting violent isn't the right way to go about it. But he seems to be the only person actually trying to find shite out from Victor (I don't count Ethan because he's a whiney little bitch who's just along for the ride, and I can't stand him).
I have a feeling if we overanalyzed everything the chained up dude outside of the well said, there are lots of hints and clues in there.

Lmao, did you watch the last episode? He literally says that when people go looking for answers they die. They even followed that line up with a scene where his mother and sister run out and (presumably) die. That is why he isn't sharing anything.

He shouldn’t be allowed to make that call. He’s got the brain of a 6 yr old apparently.
He should be MADE to divulge what he knows and any person serious about getting out of that situation would make him
Also in the original Jumanji Alan goes into a hellscape as a young teen and comes out (a bit on edge) but as a highly capable adult.
This dude spends (some unknown amount of time) alone and doesn’t grow up at all and comes out as a feeble thumbsucker. Seclusion may change how you develop but it doesn’t completely HALT development. They literally just made him retarded.

It doesn't seem outlandish that he was already on the spectrum as a child. He has a fixation on objects and possessions while also needing music to calm him. I also don't see why that level complexity added to his character is a bad thing. Other characters have had to learn more about him and how to and not to treat him.
