Six episodes into the first season and it’s definitely something people should be watching. The only reason I knew anything about this show was because of this thread. Amazon should stop playing games when it comes to quality productions like this, nobody cares about MGM+, put it on Amazon Prime.

Agreed. I talked it up in my department at work and 8 people watched season 1 start to finish, half of which are women. I think the show would have some pretty major appeal on prime.

Just finished the first season. Definitely interesting. Might wait for every episode to come out in season 2 and do a trial run for mgm so I can binge the second season.

I think that’s plan here, we also want to watch Season 3 of The Godfather of Harlem. Two great shows on MGM+ that Amazon owns, but the billion dollar company has to have a little extra. We can wait for the newest seasons to be completely released and watch everything during the 7 day free trial.

It pains me to say but we went ahead and paid for 1 year of MGM+ for $50. Amazon got us for an extra $50 because of FROM and The Godfather of Harlem.

Sweet. Now add to the season discussions.

The kid from the bus definitely has some type of connection to the town, he’s having seizures just like the other girl that’s already there. I also don’t understand why one of the creatures can snatch someone up that’s laying under a collapsed house but the other guy is just fine. Other posters have compared this show to LOST, I’d say that’s a fair comparison.

Yeah the seizures are gonna have to come into play at some point.
And with the collapsed house thing, I think it’s just a matter of the monster could get to one guy but not the other one. It has to be something like that. Also the monster could’ve not known Jim was there too.
Good episode last night. My main gripe is still that the episodes are far too short. Last night was like 46 minutes and change. With the “previously on” part and opening/closing credits, that’s basically only 40 minutes worth of actual show. It would be nice if we got 55-60 minutes instead. The episodes feel so short to me….because they ARE short. I hate that.
I’m wondering if the monster kids that Tabitha sees will somehow help them get out of there.
I also liked the scene with Jim and Donna where she talked about how if someone spoke to him on the radio, that means someone is watching, and that can’t be a good thing or mean the watchers are good people (or whoever). It also almost felt like she knew more than she was letting on. And Jim’s idea about how this place could’ve been created as a testing ground of sorts, that was interesting. Not sure how that would work but I like that they’re trying to figure shite out.
Boyd needs some redemption soon. He’s slipping from trustable character territory. Between not telling Kenny about what Sara did, hiding his worm skin things, lying about his shoulder wound, etc., he’s turning into a bad leader.
The scene where Donna put that bus dude in his place was pretty good too.
Jade has been too much in the background lately. He’s been one of the ones actually trying to figure shite out.
Also, I thought this one was E5, but it was only E4. So we’re still not halfway through yet. Hopefully we can get some answers before the season ends.

The scene with him and bus driver at the bar was great dialogue. Two very different perspectives, both are now in the exact same position, both are fair in feeling like they got the shaft. And it drove the point home to the bus driver that they really aren't going anywhere.

I just wanted to mention after last week’s discussion on the shows acting, the guy that plays Kenny can really act. I feel like he steals every scene he is in.

Ya'll got me intrigued with this show so I decided to watch. After about 4 or 5 episodes I thought it was getting boring but then decided to finish watching Season 1. Glad I did as it picked back up. Will definitely watch Season 2. It does remind me a lot of Lost but I agree without the BS episodes of just fillers.

I actually like Jade's over the top acting. He's a ridiculous character whose arc I am enjoying.
Yeah I like Jade, he has some lol moments

Finally caught up with access to mgm+ now.
Almost feel like the last few episodes have really slowed the pace a bit after exciting start to season.
Was trying to recap all the places they’ve been.
We have town, the road loop, near woods, the grotto with the talismans, underground/tunnels, deep woods, spider web woods, lighthouse, the trees, the chimney room and dungeon room.
I don’t think there is any way someone is controlling all that territory unless it’s some kind of augmented reality.
One of my coworkers thinks it’s different circles of hell.
One thing is for sure the show would be really popular on a wider reach platform. 22/30 people in my office have watched it based on word of mouth and password sharing

Purgatory, but that’s just my BS guess. I actually like the slow burn of this show.

Like others have said, I hope they explain some of the mysteries, instead of piling on more without any resolution.
I see people saying they needed to get MGM+; I do have Epix through Cox, and the Epix app on my firestick has everything the MGM+ app does. But while I can sign into the Epix app, I can't with the MGM+ app (which is silly, since those channels are now called MGM+ on Cox cable). I kept that with my cable package since it was 2-3 bucks for Epix/MGM+, and Encore.
But more to the point, it looks like Prime has the season 2 episodes, without me having to go to Epix.
edit= nevermind. It showed season 2, but when you look at an episode, it gives you the watch now options.

How scary is this show? I’mnot good at jump scares

Watched the first 3 episodes with the gf last night thanks to this thread. Really enjoying it. It’s pretty frickin creepy too, we both went to bed skittish lol
Only gripe is the Asian kids acting is pretty bad

Going to be kinda vague here to avoid spoiling, but it's not overwhelming, where you feel like everyone's gonna die no matter what. The monsters, if they catch you you're toast, but they're more a consequence of an extreme curfew, than a terror to the community. Once people figure out a few basic rules, they survive easily. It's almost idyllic. Necessities are provided for.
