Something Sophia said in the diner/storage caught my ear. Something about the dead not being forgotten because a piece of them is there.
With an angkhooey/remember kind of echo.

I made it through season 1 and maybe a few episodes into season 2 and found the acting to be really mediocre. The premise was interesting though.

Thankfully that does improve a good bit IMO.

I don't think this has a happy ending. The theme song is literally "whatever will be, will be." I don't think Julie can change anything and there's a decent chance that her attempts will somehow cause them all to end up there in the first place
Im not sure she will be able to "travel" outside the town but I don't think she will be able to change anything either. The only hang up is when we first meet the MiY, she ran in saying something about changing. I don't remember if she says she changed something or she said she couldnt.

Did episode 3 drop today? I don’t see it yet

I watched earlier this afternoon.

Thought it was interesting that Sophia took the guys tooth. I'm pretty sure Sara took the tooth of the guy she killed at the beginning of the series, or maybe it was his tongue?Wonder what that's about
This episode seemed to get some things progressing. Acosta might make an attempt to be useful, Ethan is searching for his Lake of Tears (although something tells me it isn't actually a lake), Victor knows about the MIY, jade is gonna try some shrooms, and Tabitha is making an effort to find answers again although she doesn't know what to do...seems that the BIW knows where the faraway trees will take you and the game has changed so that the lighthouse is no longer important.

In the past you could watch like 2 or 3 weeks ahead on demand. It was really weird and fricked up the thread discussion big time.
Solid episode tonight IMO. Not a lot happened specifically but it feels like we are progressing toward some things.
“Whatever answers you’re gonna fine we have no idea what they’re gonna cost.” First time we’ve seen townspeople be hesitant to try to figure shite out?
Cross at the funeral service. Crows at the downed tree in the road. Are they a warning?
Julie thinks the crows were celebrating.
Odd reaction from Julie. She knows how much bad shite has gone down in the Town long before they ever got there. Although I guess you can argue that Jim went hard on the paint initially trying to figure shite out like with the radio tower. So maybe it’s partially true.
Is it me or have they made an effort this season to show tons of extras and tell us how many other people there are around the Town? I suspect we may get a massive purge again this season at some point.
Kenny: “The people here are always one bad day from giving up.” MiY is gonna learning a lot of shite. But again I’m not sure what all it knows and doesn’t know (supernaturally).
It’s a little odd that nobody has ever pulled apart Jim’s old house. If anything just to use the wood and shite for repairs and whatnot.
I’m curious if MiY wants to live with Sara because it thinks she’s a threat or if it’s because it thinks she can help it because of the wild shite she's pulled before. I still think Sara is the one who figured out that Sophia is the MiY. And no idea what the deal is with Sophia taking the tooth from the pastor, especially when she literally has no idea who he is save for about a few minute ride in the car before giving him a heart attack (?) and wrecking his car.
What is the yellow thing (raincoat?) that Victor sees that made him pee his pants? Was that related to his sister somehow?
Boy in White hit puberty bigly. The bottle tree taking her to the lighthouse was the way before and not anymore. Also that she’s “getting close now, but is running out of time.”
Little weird that almost immediately Fatima and Elgin are in cahoots.
Jade bout to get his shroom trip on and hopefully figure some shite out.
Weird ending with Boyd and the zombie hand. No clue where that is headed.
Looks like we get some Victor backstory of when everyone died next week.

Can't say I blame them

Those are the MiY’s clothes. Victor being scared was the big reveal. Means he knows the MiY.

Oh shite, true...not sure why I was thinking his sister. That's definitely what MiY changed out of when he transformed into Sophia. Good call.
The preview for next week shows a crayon drawing with the MiY, so I assume they will start piecing that together fairly quickly from here forward. Weirdly, I hope it doesn't kill Sara. I've grown to almost like her in the last season or two. And I think she still has some importance to this place and should play a role in helping everyone get home (if that actually happens).

I think Sara is going to pull a “Sophia is not who she seems” at some point considering her history with being fooled by the spirits of the town

I've watched Ep 3 twice now and something occurs to me. Overall it's a slow burn, but consider this. Both Boyd and Jade were looking for something ... Jade was looking for something to get high that would help him "remember." And lo and behold, he stumbles on some mushrooms. Boyd goes to his wife's grave and beseeches her to help him ... and the zombie hand (hers?) shoots up out of the ground and grabs him. Can it be that Boyd and Jade ... and perhaps others ... maybe Tabitha? ... have on some level the ability to "will" something to happen?
And remember the convo between Ethan and Victor about the Lake of Tears ... Ethan says that he imagined it and then dead-Jim told him it was real and he had to find it. And Tabitha had visions of the red rocks and found them last season.
Thoughts?

I thought that the last scene was pretty awesome. Sentimental Boyd spilling his heart out about their struggles to his dead wife, and it seems like a nice moment, then the goddamn hand comes out of the grave it almost pulls him into the ground or rips his arm off. Creepy!

How's the new season going so far? I am waiting for all to be complete before I watch. I loved all the previous seasons, and I am curious to see what happens.

Came out swinging with the first episode. The rest have been slow but they're definitely "building" towards something...
