Weird.

I genuinely like Jade, Kenny, Kristi.

I've come around on Randall and Victor

Big swing for me on Sara to likeable.

I pity Henry.

TBD: Boyd and Donna.

Do not like: Ethan.

To your point, though, I would have tossed her screaming arse as well.

What do you think about the bones needing to be returned to the lake of tears for the children to be resurrected or whatever happens? Jim made a big deal about finding the Lake and then the attack at the settlement happened, the storyline was no longer explored. Now the bottle tree is down and where else would make sense to win the game?

I think I floated that a couple pages back. I like it as a theory.

Not sure that makes any sense. Getting them out of the tunnel chamber and at the bottom of a lake doesn’t seem logical.

But it would at least be a callback to a previous plot point, which is a good thing.

Season 4 finally blows up and gets the mainstream hype it deserves

I don't think it ever gets mainstream hype, but I've noticed more and more people on social media talking about it compared to barely hearing about it during season 1 & 2.

I blame it on the fact that its on MGM+. Apart from a good movie selection, the original series are meh at best. Not worth the money to have the streaming service. Wish it was on Netflix, Hulu, or Prime.

Oh, not chastising at all. More discussion is better.

Without looking back, maybe I suggested the bag of teeth get thrown in the lake to make an army of undead.

The episodes always seem to end abrutly, i always think there's 10 more minutes left and then it just ends

I took it as the Golem stuff was all foreshadowing and now that Fatima is a monster she is the golem.

Came here to say this. The golem is just an allegory. She is the golem.

We know that the faraway trees aren't bottomless pits, so where do the talismans (talismen?) end up?

I wondered if Sophia put them in that particular tree on purpose, or if she was just getting rid of them randomly knowing they would show up somewhere else.

For some reason, I get a feeling that Clara didn't actually give her the rest of the talismans. Several times she seemed remorseful when helping MiY & MiY didn't check the bag when she handed it over. Feels like a good way for them to try to redeem her in season 5.

How was season 4? I have not been able to watch it.

Planning on it.

Some here loved it but it just didnt advance enough for me. It's one of the main gripes for people, nothing happens. That & the bickering.

I feel like it trades plot progression for soap-opera style drama to extend episode counts. Filler filler filler.

The creator, John Griffin has said "the answers are continuously hidden in plain sight"

The answers I want aren't.

It’s probably their weakest season. I’ll continue as it isn’t unwatchable but this season really was a drag. Lots of storylines that could be shortened and they could make more meaningful scenes with. The MiY for being a big bad had a ton of screen time of plotting that we really could have condensed down and gotten the same messages. This runs for many of the storylines.

I finally caught up. You can definitely see the LOST parallels

Man in Yellow = Man in Black
Boy in White = Jacob

People are drawn to a magical place where a cosmic game is played on repeat between the two forces

Before this season I said that the Lost parallels weren't strong and would almost be nonexistent if Harold Perinneau wasn't in the show. But obviously the last couple of episode changed that a good bit with the seemingly "good vs. evil" battle going on.

Alright I finished watching season 4 yesterday. I thought the season was so-so. I thought someone would expose the chick/man in yellow suit or at least get an explanation on who he/she is. I thought they could have gotten the bone mission done earlier in the season, so they could advance or start over, or have something meaningful happen. Right now to me, it's almost like they are living in a Truman Show type deal.

Someone did and he got unalived. MiY has apparently been playing this game for generations, if not centuries. He's probably already dealt with being found out before and has ways to handle it.

Same here, but I guess they need that and any ramifications for the "endgame" for the final season (Season 5 is going to be the final season).

So next season we should have:

-Fatima either becoming one of the Night People and squaring off against them. She could be killed by them (but then they don't die by normal means, so can even they kill one another?), she could turn or she could be some sort of hybrid of them and the normal folks who fights them.
---If the Night People somehow kill her, perhaps building her golem had infused some of her spirit into it so the rest will pour into the golem thus she would "become" the golem?

-The Night People definitely didn't want them getting the bones and MiY was not happy that it was Jade and Tabitha who went into the caves to get them. If they put the bones in the lake and the kids come back to life, does that break the curse?
--If the curse is broken, what then happens with MiY and BiW?

-Julie (and her hair) can still storywalk. That's a pretty big ability to reveal and then just set aside. I can't help but think it comes into play in some decisive way for the show's ending, but not sure how they even get there at this point.

-There are no talismans left in the town (that we know of). MiY can make it dark at will, apparently. So how will the Fromvilleyans survive long enough to get the bones to the lake (if that's even the key) and then survive long enough to reap the hoped-for reward of freedom?

-Was the red lightning the result of the Bottle Tree being torn down or something else? If the former, what other effects could it have and how could that impact the efforts of the folks to get free?

-If they do win free of the place, what happens then? Does it just reset like a video game and MiY and BiW start playing again or is it over for good? If the latter, are the Night People freed, do they keel over dead, both, something else?
