---If the Night People somehow kill her, perhaps building her golem had infused some of her spirit into it so the rest will pour into the golem thus she would "become" the golem?

I like her leveling up because she has been awful for a long time now. So at least now she can possibly be useful.

-The Night People definitely didn't want them getting the bones and MiY was not happy that it was Jade and Tabitha who went into the caves to get them. If they put the bones in the lake and the kids come back to life, does that break the curse?
--If the curse is broken, what then happens with MiY and BiW?

Honestly, I'm not sure we even get an answer to that last one (and I'm not sure I need one). Since the LOST similarities have ramped up...did we actually get a resolution with MIB and Jacob? (LOST SPOILERS incoming...)

I know Jack killed MIB at the end (when he uncorked the heart of the island thing), and Ben killed Jacob at some point. But he was still walking around on the island and appearing to people and sort of controlling shite. So I don't remember if we ever got a resolution or if we just assume he's retired and his soul is on the island forever or whatever.

As for the bones, they are clearly onto something with that based on reactions from the monsters and MiY specifically. He/Sophia did not like at all that it was J&T going down there to retrieve them.

-Julie (and her hair) can still storywalk. That's a pretty big ability to reveal and then just set aside.

My biggest gripe of the season I think.
quote:

-There are no talismans left in the town (that we know of). MiY can make it dark at will, apparently. So how will the Fromvilleyans survive long enough to get the bones to the lake (if that's even the key) and then survive long enough to reap the hoped-for reward of freedom?

I like the idea someone mentioned a few pages back that fat Clara didn't give all of the talismans (talismen? ) to MiY. So that could come into play. I also think there may be something else that happens that fixes that issue...whether it be that someone stumbles upon the talismans that MiY dumped into the faraway tree, or even some leveled-up sort of thing that happens or is discovered.

Also, I'm not sure if MiY made the Town turn dark/night, or if he just knew what was happening. When it happened, Sophia told someone basically that it had turned dark because the townspeople were getting close, or something like that. Maybe I'm wrong, but it didn't seem like it was something she did, just was more something she has seen before. Which is why I'm not sure if Sophia is the endgame big bad or if there is something else bigger/badder next season (this is what I am hoping for).
quote:

-Was the red lightning the result of the Bottle Tree being torn down or something else? If the former, what other effects could it have and how could that impact the efforts of the folks to get free?

Not sure, but it can't be ruled out yet.

We do know that the BT is important though. So them pulling it down should definitely have some sort of negative effect on things.
quote:

-If they do win free of the place, what happens then? Does it just reset like a video game and MiY and BiW start playing again or is it over for good? If the latter, are the Night People freed, do they keel over dead, both, something else?

Not sure, but this goes back to my question above about Jacob and MIB from LOST. But even with those two, even though they were basically the "good and evil" battling it out for centuries, they both still sort of answered to a higher power (the Island). So I don't know if MiY/BiW will be similar where they are the ones "playing the game" over and over, but the Town itself is the ultimate "big bad." Who knows.

I assume this will end things 'for good." But I also think the show may end on an ambiguous note where someone new sees the fallen tree in the road and you're left wondering if it is starting over again or if it just a tree that they go around and continue on. I think it will be a bit open-ended if I had to guess.

But I'm not sure how you can't end things "for good" with the show though. That's sort of the whole point IMO. But I know shows like to do that kinda shite that I just mentioned, which is why I think we might get that.

I do think the reason I am hoping that MiY isn't the endgame big bad is because if there is some higher power there that controls things (which they have alluded to before), then that extra level of shite should ramp things up and S5 should be chock full of shite to where we shouldn't get a lot of filler. If they have to resolve this bones thing, MiY/Sophia battling the BiW, and then some other big thing controlling the Town, that is a lot of stuff to get through in ten episodes. And I want S5 to have less filler shite than S4 did.

Agree on both parts. I wish I could say the same for Ellis. He doesn’t seem to be very involved in the story, except to have conversations about what’s happening.

There has to be a company wide memo that everyone accepts as fact that essentially expresses, if the place promises you are going home, you aren’t. It lies.

This gets back to my somewhat negative review a few weeks ago comparing it to Lost. That show had so many loose strings that it couldn’t tie them all up. I feel like this golem thing as well as the totems/killer dolls and the lake settlement are going to get pushed aside.

I do think it would have made for better writing if at least one person in the town was suspicious of Sophia and without the knowledge of the Man in the Yellow Suit.

The Boy in White pisses me off. He doesn’t seem very helpful lately.
